BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany’s intelligence service acknowledged on Friday that it had employed the daughter of top Nazi Heinrich Himmler in the 1960s, although she never renounced her father or Nazism, and remained active in far-right extremism.

Not too hard to think of the Germans being nostalgic about the 'good old days' of the Third Reich 20 years after WWII.

Okay....I'm not sure there's something to make now of an employment that happened ~60 years ago.

Yawn. The BND itself grew out of the Third Reich's Foreign Forces East intelligence office under Reinhard Gehlen.

Why would Germany’s intelligence service have any use for someone like her after WWII? Hmmmmmmmmmm....:lamo
Must of be a slow day for them.

It got headlines because it's historically significant. Makes you wonder what value they placed in an unrepentant Nazi. But this was during the Cold War & things in West Germany were very strange. Lots of spy vs. spy stuff.
