East Pittsburgh police officer charged with criminal homicide in Antwon Rose shooting

He won't be convicted.

Also, perhaps that source could try to be less biased. Like, putting up a more recent picture of the "victim".

That is a current picture. He was seventeen years old. He is dead. How classy of you to put "victim" in quotation marks.

It was never about the threat to the officer (there was none), it was about the threat to others.

No, it was about a rogue cop who murdered a teenager less than ninety minutes after he was sworn in. The same cop who was fired from other LE jobs "for cause". Why don't you go read up on the story before you make any more comments? There is a separate lengthy thread from the date of the killing.

Doesn't matter. They're trying to control your opinion by showing you what they want you to see...a picture of nice 14 year old black boy.

How do you know he was 14 in that picture? And regardless, he IS a victim, not a "victim" as you posted earlier. He was unarmed. He was running away. He was shot 3 times in the back. He is dead.

One does not get more real as a victim than that.

You do know that the nonsense of trying to shoot someone in the leg is just that. Nonsense. Virtually every single training institution that had any business training people with weapons teaches that if you spot you shoot to stop the threat in the fastest manner possible. That means multiple rounds center mass. If someone earns one bullet they earn a four or five. And training anything different just gets officers killed ( or who ever they are training killed). That's not even getting in to the difficulty in shooting the leg of a running suspect which is far beyond the capability of most shooters or the fact of all the arteries that are in your leg that if hit can kill you in a few minutes. The real world is very different then Hollywood.

But I also want to add that I think this was a bad shoot and have said so repeatedly since this first happened. Glad they are at least charging the cop.

That would be relevant if there had been any "threat". There was none.

The picture was taken from his FB profile. If i understand the NYT caption correctly, he was seventeen years old in it. I'm pretty sure Kevin doesn't know what he's talking about, but he can speak for himself.
