The National Park Service has approved an initial request for organizers to hold a second "Unite the Right" rally, this time across the street from the White House in August — one year after white supremacists gathered in Charlottesville, Va.

I'm sure only fine people will show up. After all, the goal is to make sure whites have civil rights too. They have been oppressed too long.

So says Dear Leader.

I hope a lot of reporters and/or photographers show up. Freedom of speech, freedom to protest. Not freedom from consequences. I wouldn't mind seeing someone lose their job.

Good lord somebody should tell them they already have them.
In reality though thats not a bad spot to protest. In theory, any nonsense will be shut down quick that close to the white house. They may not even allow them to have riot gear etc.

 They have a right to assemble.

Now, the smart response to this would be for everyone to ignore them. Act as though these racists don’t even merit our attention. But that isn’t what will happen. Lots of counter protesters will show up which will draw lots of media attention, which is exactly what these racists want.

I'm not saying they shouldn't have that right. However, it is possible to have that right and simultaneously be dumb. I'm pointing and laughing at the dip****s who think whites don't have civil rights.

If that someone is in a position of authority, ex: teacher, cop, firefighter, policemen, and politicians then I have no problem with them losing their job. But if they're joe blow wal-mart worker then I don't agree. I get the sentiment and all and agree with it. But I also don't agree with ruining someones life just because they have a differing opinion either. The only reason I exempt the examples I provided is because they're in positions of authority in which they could possibly use that influence to affect those around them be it overtly or inadvertently. Only other exemptions I'd make is if that protestor was wearing the company that they are working for logo's. In that case, yeah, fire em.

I know that I will be lambasted for this position. But oh well.

That I can agree with.

I don't know, when they tried this crap in Boston last summer the 1,000:1 ratio of counter protesters to alt-right loons sent a pretty powerful message.

Racists don’t look at that and think, “Wait a minute, maybe I am on the wrong side of this.” They think, “Damn, our country really IS going in the wrong direction. Maybe more of us should step up.”

Everyone is the hero in their own narrative and this just feeds into their persecution complex. And if any of them get injured in a confrontation, regardless of who started it, then it REALLY feeds into their persecution complex. It makes for excellent propaganda on their part. Better not to give them anything to work with.

So is every honest, educated objective person . .well . . some probably think its sad also. But yes you have to be a special kind of stupid to think whites dont have civil rights.

That's not what happened last summer.

8/16/17: U.S. Cities Brace for Upcoming Right-Wing Rallies in Wake of Charlottesville

With national tensions still high after the deadly violence at a white nationalist rally in Virginia, cities around the country are bracing for the next wave of protests organized by right-wing groups and their sympathizers.

In Boston, where a “free speech” rally is planned for Saturday, officials said they were preparing to ensure the public’s safety.

8/22/17: Alt-Right ‘America First’ Rallies Move Online After Boston ‘Free Speech’ Protest Is Overrun
Sixty-seven planned rallies in 36 states that were meant to attract members of the so-called alt-right and other racist groups are moving online after a “free speech” rally on Saturday in Boston attended by white supremacists was drowned out by demonstrators.

For a brief period last summer after Charlottesville it looked like this country was going to be overrun by Nazi rallies as these bugs felt emboldened to come out of the woodwork under the current administration. Then Boston happened.

Perhaps it should be called the "Only Whites Should Have Civil Rights Rally"?

As a rightie, I apologize for these losers.

No need to apologize for ideologies you don’t advocate. But it is a nice sentiment.

Thanks, Bob. Sometimes I can get defensive if I feel I’m being grouped in with these ****s, but the truth is that’s largely out of chagrin that they claim the same political lean as me.

By law they must approve this.

What do you call affirmative action? What do you call minority business loans?
