A group of protesters disrupted Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen's dinner Tuesday evening at MXDC, a Mexican restaurant near the White House. The Metro D.C. Democratic Socialists of America claimed responsibility for the protest and wrote in a statement that they would not let Nielsen "dine in peace."

DSA eh? hmmmm...Looks like the "animals" are pushing ever toward violent confrontation....

The collapse of a Super Power continues, These Americans never seem to wise up.

This is the what many right wingers would want for this country

Actually, that reminds me of progressives that protect the Muslim men who force their women to cover themselves.

Who would those be? The only time I've seen progressives protect the right of Muslim women to cover themselves for religious reasons, not sure I've heard us wanting to protect abusive men. If you have, well...maybe you misheard, or aren't talking to actual progressives.

So many people will not even try to be better people now , it is considered to be a weakness and not necessary.

We are so screwed.

The president leads by example. As long as you and others excuse and encourage Trump's actions and lack of civility then that's what you get. When will Trumpbots wake up and realize, they are supporting the exact American demise they claim to protest.

I have not seen the President out making a scene at a restaurant because he has anger issues towards one of the customers....bringing strife and negativity onto a lot of peoples days.

I was under the impression they outlawed Mexican restaurants north of the 'border wall' ...........

If Nielsen wants to dine at a Mexican place then she should take a couple, or three of those kidnapped little children with her

So protestors are now animals threatening violence? Looks like you're the one pushing it towards de-humanization, and violence. The opposite of what you claimed.

Anyone else see the humor, irony, whatever in it happening in a Mexican restaurant? Just me, then?

More of this needs to happen. Civilized society should make life miserable for these enabler of the devil.

And I recall how people cried about the “rude” behavior of the TEA party at town hall meetings. I also recall all the angst over “violent rhetoric”. Odd that that’s not a thing anymore.

What type of physical retribution would you like to see to make their lives miserable?

You've got the meme down cold, the problem with that sort of mindset, however, is that it encourages misogyny and abuse.

The burqa and nijab are not like a nun's habit. A nun chooses to follow a specific religious path, and makes a decision on her own to adopt the outfit to her lifestyle. Not so Muslim women.

Sharia law compels women to cover themselves, and in every nation that has Sharia, women are required to cover themselves.

Progressives will argue that the women choose to cover themselves, but this is a lie. You will find Muslim women who say they want to wear their coverings, but that's because they're afraid not to say that.

In the US a couple of decades ago, the law took the choice out of a woman's hands whether or not to charge her husband/boyfriend with abuse. Too many beaten women were refusing to press charges, claiming the beating they took was their own fault. It's called "battered woman's" syndrome, and it forces women to make claims contrary to what's in their best interest.

To understand how detrimental it is to support burqa's you first have to understand their purpose. Fundamental Muslims believe a woman's body is too tempting to be uncovered. They believe that men are not strong enough to resist raping the woman unless she's covered from head to toe. When Muslim women choose to wear the burqa it's out of a sense of self-preservation.

When you promote that *right,* you're really promoting a patriarchal culture that seeks to keep women subordinate.

Now, you'll probably argue, but if you want to know what Muslim women really want --- compare Iranian women's dress before and after the Iranian revolution. The first is what they chose to wear -- the second is what Muslim men forced them to wear.

"Physcial retribution"????? You mean like a bloody beheading?

Or Burning at the stake?

or the Electric Chair?

or the Gas Chamber?

Maybe buried up to their necks in an anthill after being coated with honey?

Happy now? :doh:roll:

Is that what you hope to hear? :doh:roll:

Go back and read again. I did not advocate any harm or what you call "physical retribution" come to these Trumpkins. What I do want to see is their public lives made miserable by the American people when they dare to leave from under their rocks and go among the common people who can them VOCALLY express their displeasure with these monsters.

Got it now?

My goodness, Howie, I didn't realize that you had such an insight into the mind of every single female Muslim on the planet, what a boon for the forum. ;) I think you need to go right out there and speak with all the Muslim women who have spoken in direct contradiction to what you are saying, and set them straight, like you have me. Certainly there couldn't possibly be a difference in the way different sects of Islam approach the issue, and there couldn't possibly be a reason that some women choose to wear the coverings, in their various forms, in voluntary observance. After all, all women around the world wish to be exactly the same, and the model they have uniformly chosen is the entirely homogeneous definition put forward by American women.

Good grief, Howie, show a little discipline, your wild speculation and generalization has taken this into the realm of silly at lightspeed.

And for the record, the progressive approach would be to say "Listen to the woman and support her", whatever that means, from individual case to individual case. Generalizations only indicate ignorance, especially when those generalizations just happen to conveniently support one's own point of view. In other words, the only one dropping memes is you, my dear friend... :)

LOL, you really can never admit when you're wrong can you?;)

Or, is a bit of suppressed misogyny peeking out?

Do a little research on what the coverings are intended to do -- then come back and bash women a bit more.

It kind of suits you my friend.

Hmm....well, everyone has their kink, so if it helps you to think of me in that light, knock yourself out, we're all friends here...consent granted. ;)

And when I start believing that it is wrong to support women in their ability to live however they like, whether that's adhering to strict religious dogmas, or rejecting them entirely, then you can call me a misogynist. Until then, I'm good with where I land.

But, hey, keep working on the trolling, it's really coming along! I especially like the women bashing part, because while nothing I write on this forum would support that I do that, I feel compelled to defend against it anyway. My jimmies were about 1/3 of the way rustled, that's not half bad. The "do some research" bit was a little flat, though...by now you should know that I don't go out on a limb with you unless I know what I'm talking about...test me if you like, or just believe me, I'm down for whatever. Overall, though, not too shabby...though your anti-Canada trolling was a lot more effective. That should demonstrate to you that if you're really going to troll someone, go after something they are already pissed off about.

Hope the hints were helpful...have a good one, Howie!! :)
