Now we know where the babies and toddlers are.

Trump administration officials have been sending babies and other young children forcibly separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border to at least three "tender age" shelters in South Texas, The Associated Press has learned.

Doctors and lawyers who have visited the shelters said the facilities were fine, clean and safe, but the kids — who have no idea where their parents are — were hysterical, crying and acting out.

"The shelters aren't the problem, it's taking kids from their parents that's the problem," said South Texas pediatrician Marsha Griffin who has visited many.
Alicia Lieberman, who runs the Early Trauma Treatment Network at University of California, San Francisco, said decades of study show early separations can cause permanent emotional damage.

"Children are biologically programmed to grow best in the care of a parent figure. When that bond is broken through long and unexpected separations with no set timeline for reunion, children respond at the deepest physiological and emotional levels," she said. "Their fear triggers a flood of stress hormones that disrupt neural circuits in the brain, create high levels of anxiety, make them more susceptible to physical and emotional illness, and damage their capacity to manage their emotions, trust people, and focus their attention on age-appropriate activities."

There are three of them in Combs, Raymondville and Brownsville. A fourth is scheduled to open in Houston in a warehouse used to shelter hurricane victims. The mayor, Sylvester Turner, asked Southwest Key Programs to reconsider opening it. This is his personal line with these children.

This is unconscionable.

Its unconscionable to separate babies from their mothers at abortion clinics too but it happens every day.

Trump should be prosecuted by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity.

It's unconscionable to make asinine false equivalencies in a desperate attempt to derail a thread.

This is literal child abuse. There is no child welfare expert in the world who would endorse this.

Who gets blamed when an MS13 member rapes a teenager?

Sometimes I wonder how people like yourself can show such emotional hysterics for embryonic life, yet show next to zero concern or empathy for actual babies and children once they are born.

We do this all the time everyday when parents are arrested in the us.
If there is not a family member that will take them they go to live in a group home or other such state run institution.

So what is the difference?

What does that have to do with this thread? Oh right, absolutely **** all.

Actually it’s perfectly conscionable, their “parents” (or unrelated smugglers) shouldn’t have showed up illegally at the border, get caught, and refused to plead guilty and file a frivolous asylum claim. Also we can’t just hand children over to custody of someone who may not even be their real parent, which is a very frequent occurrence, Obama’s gone so we don’t hand kids over to human traffickers anymore

You don't know what you are talking about.
Your hurting more than helping.

The children are being kept even after their parents are deported, so no cigar for your chicken **** deflection.

Parents who commit misdemeanors don't usually get their children snatched away from them and put in warehouses.

These children are being emotionally abused so that Trump can blackmail Democrats into paying for a wall that Trump said Americans wouldn't have to pay for.

Trump is flat out evil. People who defend Trump have left their consciences at the door.

Should we do the same to all the social service people that yank kids out of their homes?
When their parents have committed crimes as well?

Well except the welfare expert who seized those black children from a responsible aunt and they ended up getting adopted by mentally ill activist lesbians who drove them off a cliff

The American Academy of Pediatrics had already condemned the policy.

However, you walk into the toddler room and we normally see kids who are toddlers rambunctious and are running around and laughing and playing. And you didn't see that there. What we saw were a number of little kids keeping pretty quiet to themselves, some of them playing with toys, and one little girl in the center of the room who was sobbing and wailing and crying.

And the staff person next to her who was trying to give her a toy was not able to touch her and was not able to pick her up and was not able to emotionally support her. And we all knew what the problem was. We all knew that this little child needed her mother, and none of us could give that to her.

It's incredibly damaging to the development of their brain.

So? Deport them and give them their ****ing kids. Prosecuting every last person that brakes immigration processes is not only impractical and stupid, it results in inhuman situations like these.

But you guys love this stuff deep down.

No, we don't. These babies are away from their parents, who get deported, never to be reunited.

No they go to group homes, or other state run institutions if a family member won't take them or one that can be found that passes the standards.

These children are being emotionally abused so that Trump can blackmail Democrats into paying for a wall that Trump said Americans wouldn't have to pay for.

So we're the children that obama administration put into the hands of child traffickers. Where is your outrage over that.
At least try to be consistent I doubt that you can.

Trump is flat out evil. People who defend Trump have left their consciences at the door.

The police are evil as well? How about CPS? they take kids every day from babies to teens.

They are only making November a much easier decision for the rest of the country.

Send the kids back with their parents

What are the cons of this?

Higher welfare bills for the taxpayers for one? this is not true.

Your bleeding heart never seems to take into account the cons of this does it?
and how it affects americans.

Look at hazelton Pa.. everybody moved out due to this stuff.. did u study this?
they did not think this was an upgrade .. did they?

What percentage of Latinos are on welfare in usa Gina? I bet u have never even studied this one.
the liberal bubble strikes again folks . Or do u have a background on this?

Do u know what the Rob Putnam study is Gina?
its only the largest and most famous study ever done on diversity but you never heard of it right ? lol
the liberal bubble strikes again.. if i'm wrong let me know.. Do you know what the Rob putnam study is?
it showed that diversity creates social conflict not social cohesion.

No, we don't. These babies are away from their parents, who get deported, never to be reunited.

Evidence that they are getting deported without their kids?
Yes we do.

You evidently have never heard of CPS.

they regularly take kids from their parents because a crime was committed and depending in that crime they may never see their kids again.
