I think Gowdy's comments are spot on, as are his comments regarding the plain political bias shown in the Hillary email investigation. Those are spot on as well.

While, yes, it may be little more than grandstanding (as a former prosecutor he does this well), it is a sad testament to the present DC swamp that it won't garner any further action, which it really should.

It is the DC swamp why we can't have good federal government (or at least better federal government).

Clinton committed no crimes, so there was no cause to prosecute. What Comey did was tilt the balance, costing her the election.

When there was no intention to find a crime, its not surprising none is found.
The IG report was clear-- it accepted the investigative narrative the FBI took with respects to its investigation of Mrs. Clinton.

“Foreign actors” accessed Hillary Clinton’s emails, including one that was classified “secret,” according to a memo produced by two Republican-led House committees and obtained by Fox News.

The memo details the findings of congressional investigators who looked into whether the Department of Justice made politically motivated decisions over the past two years with respect to the Clinton and Trump-Russia investigations.

“Documents provided to the Committees show foreign actors obtained access to some of Mrs. Clinton’s emails — including at least one email classified ‘Secret,’” the memo says. The private accounts of Clinton staffers were also breached by unnamed foreign actors, according to the memo.

The classified documents she illegally had on her illegal private server (seeking to thwart legitimate congressional over sight) apparently made it into 'foreign actors' hands, so a breach of national security, apparently.
