Nobody ever knew how bad this particular issue was...even when Obama was doing it...until the Trump haters decided to make it into a weapon. I agree with Nielsen. Enforce the law. If people don't like it...change the law.

Of course, Congress won't do that. The Dems care more about being able to damage Trump than caring for the children. The Elites from both parties are more beholden to their donors and lobbyists who also want to damage Trump. It's just like with the Dreamers. Trump asks Congress to change the law...but they won't.

First off there is no need to swear... by that indication this means you are emotionally attached rather then making sensible responses.

Please excuse my statement as I am not detracting from your opinion, But it indicates your mind set.

1)Some did by by no means all? Ok I can buy that... So thats to say that many of the detentions are lawful and that is how it goes. SOME, might not be, but we have to sort through ALL of them to figure it out..... BUT intially coming through ports or getting caught entering illegal is detain-able PERIOD.

2) We are Detaining them yes, we are providing for them, We did not have the initial infrastructure in the first place? Now I ask this questions, WHY do we detain, turn them around and say go home? Oh that is too inhumane isnt it? Because we need to screen them if they do qualify for some asylum. So what is is? turn them around because they are illegal, or detain them screen them then figure it out. Can have your cake and eat it too.

3) Well LETS ask the Tax payers that questions... before you make a judgement call all by yourself.

4)Emotional response. children or not, What about the adults that are being detained in unhealthy limited facilities. THEY are Humans. PERIOD. Regardless if they are children or not, BUT the ADULTS that brought the CHILDREN created this Jeopardy.

5) Not all separated families are here illegally? THATS is ONLY found out AFTER proper screening is conducted and OF the 1000's....10s of thousands... how many actually qualify for actual sanctuary ?

Do you see though that America is not willing to go there? We are way to conditioned by the failed Victim Culture to do so, which was obvious with how much mileage the Syrian Rebels (Or good guy White Helmets depending upon how you bat) got out of that pic of that boy in the ambulance. Start telling stories about kids being victimized by bad adults and then soon after you will almost certainly see hair on fire. In these the ends justify the means times the stories being the truth is not required.

Ok, sure. But it does not follow that all adults must be separated from children before we find out their status - and even after that, if we don't have the facilities, it might be better to let them remain as a family, at least temporarily.

Well, personally, I'd prefer that we detain them as families until their status is determined, then send them back or let them in, as a family
Unless evidence that they are not a family shows up.
If we don't want to just let them in, then we have to pay for facilities to process them.

We have Fallen into the victim mentality. I 100% agree I see it all the time...... I have gone throw the lows of lows and built my highs of highs. I made my path but thats JUST me. There are people that just dont have the self motivation or self confidence. But neither is right or wrong to force their views on others. It comes to a point where we have to meet in the middle on certain things....

It doesn't matter what the reason for the separation is, in determining that that conditions these children are in are unacceptable.

The entire West has been victimized by our own idiocy, we are now very weak, there is Zero doubt in my mind that China will clean our clocks, and that it will be China that leads in what ever comes next after the current global world order collapses, an eventuality that is now certain in my view.

LOL fair point.. I guess emotional is a fair assessment. I will give you that!

As for previous points children are separate because we do not know if they are biological children to begin with and if the children are being used as asylum reason. This is why the separation is done to PROTECT the child. Have you ever had a chance to deal with a local CPS? When CPS is called on a family. the CHILD is automatically removed, NO questions asked. The issue is sorted out after the child is removed for safety purposes.

THIS is why the family is separated. ITS not done for an inhumane or malice reason it is intended to protect both child and adult. (PS I am a prior LEO so I dealt with Domestic Disputes and this was protocol to separate children and parent/adult)


As described above, you may prefer many of us WOULD prefer if it was immediately know that the child was biological and not used in any other form other than child. (Sex trafficking etc)

The decline of the West has been a long time in the making. Trump is trying to save the West by leading the way in reforms but I believe that to be a lost cause, even though it is right to try..
