Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey found himself back pedaling after tweeting about using Chick-fil-A's mobile app, saying he'd forgotten about the fast-food chain's history of opposing gay marriage.
Dorsey found himself the subject of a tweetstorm after he posted a screenshotshowing how he'd saved 10 percent using Chick-fil-A's app at one of the fast-food chain's outlets in Los Angeles.
"This is an interesting company to boost during Pride month, Jack," tweeted former CNN anchor Soledad O'Brien, noting June is the month designated to celebrate LGBT communities around the world.....

Well the company itself isn't "anti-LGBTQ", it follows all anti-discrimination laws and doesn't discriminate in service either. It was the CEO who had a personal opinion that people rally against.

Meh, they give to some religious organizations, but I don't recall the company itself employing any discriminatory practices.

I will never patronize a business just to piss someone else off. BUT...that it happens make great chicken sandwiches AND causes some weird pathetic meltdown in certain individuals...well...thats a happy coincidence.

For the record...the owner doesnt believe in gay marriage. The business has NEVER been accused in any way of practices that were discriminatory. THAT is what has he leftists panties twisted. Of course...up until just a few years ago neither did Obama, or Clinton...or any of a number of democrats that changed their positions out of political expediency and the mindless leftist crowd always found a way to swallow their poutrage.

****...I cant believe that after the last Chik Fil A debacle, anyone on the left would be stupid enough to take on this challenge again. All they rabid left managed to do was give Chik Fil A more business and if I'm not mistaken, there were more than a few liberals of the homosexual persuasion even on this site that said "dang...now I cant wait to get me a peach shake!"

The company's foundation donates to all sorts of groups ... but it doesn't contribute to explicitly LGBT groups.

They donate to anti-LGBTQ groups which is explicitly "against me" by definition. Nothing wrong with boycotting companies whose value systems are in opposition to your own.

I eat their chicken because it's good. I don't donate to their foundation because I don't agree with it's purpose. I don't see a problem with that. I also use the heck out of Google, and Google is anti-Second Amendment, which is IMHO a more dangerous stance to the American people than being a company that has a foundation that is fighting a losing battle against what the US Supreme Court has already ruled on and made a full part of our legal system.

Around half the country was against gay marriage at the time. Well, gay marriage won... is it really worth it to hold such a grudge now years later? When boycotting CFA will hurt more ordinary workers than the CEO? I guess being gracious in victory is a lost art.
