Jack Dorsey, Twitter's CEO, blasted for patronizing Chick-fil-A[W:40]

Re: Jack Dorsey, Twitter's CEO, blasted for patronizing Chick-fil-A

I eat their chicken because it's good. I don't donate to their foundation because I don't agree with it's purpose. I don't see a problem with that. I also use the heck out of Google, and Google is anti-Second Amendment, which is IMHO a more dangerous stance to the American people than being a company that has a foundation that is fighting a losing battle against what the US Supreme Court has already ruled on and made a full part of our legal system.

Life would be just too damn complicated and, frankly, less enjoyable if I only did business with those who toe my political line.

Re: Jack Dorsey, Twitter's CEO, blasted for patronizing Chick-fil-A

Okay, if your presumption was that Twitter isn't a good place because of its TOS and lackluster results in reporting users for being racist, anti-Semitic, homophpbic, whatever....does he need to be blasted for getting a chicken sandwich at a place you all see as being bad? Maybe it should be greeted with the shrug it deserves?

Re: Jack Dorsey, Twitter's CEO, blasted for patronizing Chick-fil-A

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/jack-dorsey-twitters-ceo-blasted-for-patronizing-chick-fil-a/

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey found himself back pedaling after tweeting about using Chick-fil-A's mobile app, saying he'd forgotten about the fast-food chain's history of opposing gay marriage.
Dorsey found himself the subject of a tweetstorm after he posted a screenshotshowing how he'd saved 10 percent using Chick-fil-A's app at one of the fast-food chain's outlets in Los Angeles.
"This is an interesting company to boost during Pride month, Jack," tweeted former CNN anchor Soledad O'Brien, noting June is the month designated to celebrate LGBT communities around the world.....

And that's been This Week in Eyeroll-Worthy News.

Now I'm craving Chick-Fil-A.

Chik-Fil-A is ****ing delicious. Love it.

Re: Jack Dorsey, Twitter's CEO, blasted for patronizing Chick-fil-A

I did? Was OP's article about me?

Oh do you know my voting record?
Yeah....you did.

"The Company's Foundation donates to groups that are anti-LGBTQ."

I know your posting history. I know you are quick to cry about the head of Chik Fil A...and never once have I seen you express similar vitriol towards democrats. SO whether or not you pulled the lever for them (and money still says you did) the fact that you only find your poutrage when its 'the other guys' speaks volumes of you.

Yeah....you did.

"The Company's Foundation donates to groups that are anti-LGBTQ."

That's what the OP's article was about, friend.

Good for you.

Okay, go ahead and call me a hypocrite. That doesn't make it any more true than claiming I'm having a meltdown does. But go ahead if it makes you happy.

Re: Jack Dorsey, Twitter's CEO, blasted for patronizing Chick-fil-A

They donate to anti-LGBTQ groups which is explicitly "against me" by definition. Nothing wrong with boycotting companies whose value systems are in opposition to your own.

It's the Christian thing for them to do donating to Anti-LGBTQ groups. I do it all the time when the opportunity arises.

I'll bet those twidiots don't delete their twitter accounts.

Laughing at your impotent poutrage makes me happy. The rest of this is just silly.

Re: Jack Dorsey, Twitter's CEO, blasted for patronizing Chick-fil-A

You act as if people having a value system, and opting not to spend their money at companies who opposes that value system, is a "weird pathetic meltdown" or some kind of "challenge".
Are you advocating for a twitter boycott since he eats there, lol?

It's one thing to make a personal choice to not solicit a company, it's another to demand others do as you command.

I don't eat at Chik-Fil-A or have a Twitter but I haven't promoted anyone else do anything in particular. I'm just saying it's not weird or a "meltdown" to not shop at a place that promotes values you don't like.

And yeah, I don't think other people should eat at Chik-Fil-A; is that "advocating a boycott"?

I love how your doing your best to reframe the issue. This guy was being attacked by others who don't want him to eat there. Like it's any of their concern. If he did or did not want to eat there isn't anyone buisiness but his own. That's the issue so drop this crap about people being free to boycott things they disagree with. It's not about that.

You misspelled "delicious".

If you think Chick Fa Lay is delicious, I need to take you out to dinner. Hold on...

I'm asking my wife.

He wasn't being attacked. He's a CEO. He was being criticized by people for eating at, and advertising his eating at, a company that is anti-LGBTQ during a time when we're supposed to be celebrating LGBTQ rights and progress. I'm not reframing anything. That's the issue.
