I responded to a fool that advocates war and a nuclear one at that. Don't be a fool.

"Who," not, "that. "

I can't force you to be right.

Well I'll be, it just occurred to me;

It's ok if you disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

Sup Howard the Duck ??

Could you please link to an official government statement showing that Russia is our enemy?

Thanks in advance.

Well there are. They are called sanctions. The sanctions we have against Russia under Trump are comparatively few and late especially considering Russia's attack on the US prior to and during the presidential campaign of 2016. Even then, by the way, Congress has had to push and cajole Trump until he reluctantly signed the sanctions.

I have no interest in defending the person you responded to, but what does "classified as" even mean?

The Cold War may be officially over, but our two countries most certainly aren't on comfy terms. There's joint spying, counter-maneuvers and counter-manuevers, all the computer stuff. We definitely don't see each other as friends these days. War would be a bad idea for both, but we can't exactly call ourselves anything close to friends.

That happens with virtually every large nation in the world to some extent. That doesn't mean we're enemies. It means we're careful.

At any rate -- peace is better than war. And when the President makes peaceful noises, it's better than when he makes warring noises.

We also have sanctions against Cuba, Burma, the Ivory Coast, and others. Are they all our enemies, too?

And -- would you rather have enemies -- or friends?

Yes, of course, sanctions occur or don't for a number of reasons such as political and humanitarian. Cuba has not attacked the US nor has Ivory Coast nor has Burma. Russia has and we have beaucoup evidence of it.

Trump would kiss Putin's feet if requested. The Kremlin deserves more sanctions, not less. Trump has said more nasty things about our closest allies than he has about Vlad Putin. Trump trashes the G7 and advocates for Russia's inclusion (while at same giving away the store to another communist in North Korea). Putin has dirty pictures on Trump figuratively and literally. The US doesn't need to be that close to Russia. I would add that while he has yet to be proven guilty we have many, many reasons to suspect Donald Trump's relationship with Putin.

It amazes me that the GOP and Trump fans are so obviously pro-Russia.

Putin barks and Trump jumps. I don't call that friendship. I call that bootlicking.

Enemies or friends. We all have both, don't we? I suspect most most of us prefer friends. But some people deserve not to be trusted, not to be friended. Some people should be kept at bay. We all do that too, don't we?

Trying to influence our election is not an "attack." If it were, we would be guilty of attacking Israel in their last presidential election.

You've gone on quite a rant, but your opinion isn't backed up with facts. Obama was quite the fan of Putin until Obama's meddling in the Ukraine backfired.

It's not that they're being pro-Russia, it's that they see the folly in the problems Obama caused with Russia and they would like to see the rift repaired.

It is very much an attack and yes, we are guilty of screwing with a laundry list of elections of other countries.

I didn't vote for Obama. Obama should have been tougher on Putin but Obama did pass the Magnitsky Act which very much hurt the Kremlin. Putin's representative in the Trump Tower meeting were attempting to find a way to have the act lifted, among other things.

We will have to agree to disagree. Y'all seem enamored with Russia. I can defend that. I don't understand it. Russia's aggressive world posture deserves no support from the US.

Obama was not mobbed up with Russians at every turn in his past and present. Obama didn't have the relationship with Putin, the Russian oligarchs or the Russian mafia that Trump has. Obama didn't depend on Russia to bail him out of bankruptcy.

Russia is a threat to our allies in Europe. Our relationship with our allies should be more important that the US cozying up to Putin.
