Trump again calls for readmitting Russia to G7, blames Obama for Crimea's annexation

NK, a country half-way across the world from us, threatened to nuke anybody (Hawaii, Japan) ... next week Trump has a personal meeting with the NK leader.

What did Obama say or do to stop Russia?

Leaving aside the total dissimilarity of NK and Russia, Trump has not actually achieved anything with NK...

Of course not ... He's only (grin) meeting with the NK leader after that guy wanted to nuke Hawaii ...

CNN)President Donald Trump on Saturday doubled down on his call for Russia to be readmitted into the G7 and blamed his predecessor for Russia's aggression in Crimea.

"I think it would be an asset to have Russia back in," Trump said during an impromptu press conference at the summit. "I think it would be good for the world. I think it would be good for Russia. I think it would be good the United States. I think it would be good for all of the countries of the current G7. I think the G8 would be better."
==============================================
This is outright proof of a quid pro quo as Trump works hard to repay his buddy Putin for having gotten him elected. This is treason:

the crime of betraying one's country, defined in Article III, section 3 of the U.S. Constitution: "Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort."

Of course it's Obama's fault -- but not his alone. The EU played a role as well. By doing so, they restarted a sort of Cold War, and they simply couldn't own up to their actions. Russia's meddling was a direct result of our involvement in the Ukraine. And, that was the second biggest fail on Obama's watch -- the first being Libya.

Obama and the EU made the world a more dangerous place. I don't know if Trump can reverse that -- the die is cast after all. But, it would certainly bode well if the trouble Obama started could be patched up. Even a little bit.

Which is nothing. Obama met with Putin too, by the way. By your logic, that is a big accomplishment...

a)Well, under whose watch did Russia annex the Crimea?
b)And who were the world leaders at that time?
c)And what did those world leaders do to prevent it from happening?

Answers:

A: Obama's
B: Obama, Merkel, etc.
C: Nothing

So, a war with Russia was a go for you?

This thread OP is about Trump's quid pro quo payback for the Russian's help with getting him elected. It has nothing to do with the Crimea, which Trump referred to as 'Something.'

It confirms that Trump is right in blaming Obama for Crimea's annexation (see headline of thread).

Or Manafort's gig was an opportunity for those investing in Russia and reaping the rewards from Putin and his oligarchs.

A world war???

That's what the libs were crying about with Trump and NK ... and it never happened.

Obama and other world leaders didn't even try to stop Russia ... they did nothing, naught, zero ... they just played possum.

So. you wanted a war. Alrighty, then. And you are also just plain freakin' ignorant.

He met with Putin after he was trying to nuke us?!?
NK made some feeble threats but they never actually tried to nuke the USA

So instead of dealing with the OP issue of Trump suddenly in a hurry to reward our greatest world enemy, we'll just change the subject & just hope this thread dies without answering the hard questions that the Right don't want to face? Deception by deflection.

Then, like I said, the West shouldn't be crying foul if they didn't want to do something at the time.

We did a lot of things actually. We supplied the Ukranians and slapped sanctions on Russia.

This is why so many Americans hate Trump supporters ...
No progressives hate anyone who disagrees with them. It really does not matter if we treat them politely or rude.

How is it treason, when was russia our enemy? we seemed to be less hostile to them during the cold war then now.

Also trump is a little late to the bandwagon, most of the g-7 countries already want russia back, as without them it is mostly a western country circle jerk not a convening of world powers. This was made worse by russia refusing to join the g7/8 even if allowed back, they consider the g7 a joke of western nations abd consider the g20 more relevant to their interests as well as world interests.

but yes just to point out italy japan germany already admitted they wanted russia back in the g8.
