Trump's lawyers to Mueller in confidential letter: President can end probe, use pardon powers

Meh, to these Trumplings, he's "defending himself against the witch hunt", where any Democrat did half what Trump did, they'd scream for his head. What's important to them isn't even Trumps innocence, I'm convinced, that most of them wouldn't give **** one if, we found out Trump swore and allegience to Putin and took payment in cash, so long as his agenda continues.

These are the kind of people who just live for those heart touching stories of heroic ICE agents heroically destroying water bottles in the deser to dehydrate illegals crossing, who heroically snatch toddlers from their mother's arms, risking life and limb to put 'murica first! Brings a tear to their eyes and makes em swell with pride in 'murica. No, the little inconvenient **** like the constitution and the rule of law, all trivial matters, what matters is the TRump agenda. Ethics only appply for these folks on a strictly partisan basis.

They perceive Trump to be punishing their enemies. Nothing else matters. Democracy doesn’t matter. Rule of law doesn’t matter.

Think about it. Giuliani and friends being the source for the leak of these letters makes perfect sense. He's attempting to do pretty much the same type of damage control that he tried to do with the Stormy Daniels payment by trying to get out in front a negative story that Trump has been denying knowing that it will soon be imminently revealed to be actually true. In the Stormy Daniels case they knew that as soon as Trump filed his financial disclosure it was become known that not only he did he know of the $130,000 payment Cohen made to Stormy Daniels. But he had also repaid that money to Cohen. This time around they're trying to manage the fallout of the inevitable revelation that Trump did indeed dictate the Air Force 1 letter concocting the cover story for Junior's meeting with the those Russians in Trump Tower in June 2016. They knew that was going to be a problematic admission for the President.

To a certain extent you are correct. But when the president claims that he can pardon himself or that he is above the law, IMO thats as good as admitting that you are guilty. And its actually worse though, Trump is flexing authoritarian muscles testing to see if there will be resistance. So far the Republican party is telling him to back the hell up. If Trump is convinced that he cannot be held accountable for his actions, his actions will get more vile. Trump has attempted to step over a line that deserves to get him hung.
