CNN)At least three people were injured after a shooting Friday at a middle school in Noblesville, Indiana, officials said.A suspect was in custody after what Indiana State Police earlier had called an active shooter incident at Noblesville West Middle School.

NFD and NPD are on scene of an active shooter at Noblesville West Middle School. Suspect is in custody. NPD will have more info when it’s available.

Noblesville police Chief Kevin Jowitt told reporters that a teacher and a student were taken to hospitals with injuries. But hospital officials said at least three people, including one adult, were being treated. One student had an ankle fracture.

Jowitt said the shooting was reported shortly after 9 a.m. He said the situation was contained and that a male student was in custody.

This is America.

Re: Suspect in custody after shots fired at Indiana middle school

The NRA is a terrorist organization.

Re: Suspect in custody after shots fired at Indiana middle school

a male student was in custody.

A male student at a middle school would be between 11 and 13 years old. Wat the everlasting ****?

Vice President Mike Pence tweeted, "Karen and I are praying for the victims of the terrible shooting in Indiana.

How wonderful. Look how well prayers are working, too.

Re: Suspect in custody after shots fired at Indiana middle school

Just about an everyday occurrence in Chicago, why are we not talking about that too?

Re: Suspect in custody after shots fired at Indiana middle school

School shooting are happening far to often.

Time for the government to fund better and more security for all of our schools in the US.

Time for our lawmakers to help with a multifaceted solution to reduce school shootings.

School shootings are just about an everyday occurrence in Chicago? They aren't making the list of school shootings being tracked. When was the last school shooting in Chicago?

So drug traffickers and gangs killing each other are the same as school shootings now?

But, but, but Obama is from there...

But don't talk about the gun. Anything but the gun
Let's talk about homeschooling. Can't have school shootings if we kept our children at home. Since the schools can't protect our children let's remove them from the danger.

Which is the ONLY reason right-wingers even mention Chicago.

Did see one post recently wondering why we dont see these shootings at private schools.

Alot of these shootings take place in mid to upper-class suburban schools...what is the factor that's different for private schools?

I keep asking how and why our society is creating these losers in increasing numbers. Now a valid question seems to be...why dont any of them go to private school OR what differences are private schools making?

--Security?
--Less bullying?
--More attention to students/identifying problem kids?
--What can be different about the parents?

Thats their choice. School isn't free daycare. If school can't or won't protect our children, responsible parents do what they must.

The rest of the developed world laughs at this idea. They have the solution. We are just blind to it

Will you at least attempt to be serious when you post on here, please? This is a serious issue.

Ummm most parents work and don’t have the option to homeschool their children. Plus, many parents are not well-equipped to teach their children. This does not solve the problem, it just puts a band-aid on it. That’s teaching our children not to go out into the world for fear of getting shot. I will not be doing that!

We are -- except I don't count those who only bring it up as a deflection -- they could careless about the lives lost in the inner city obviously

Private schools generally do not accept students who need extra resources such as speech class , or special help with dyslexia, disgraphia, ADD, ADHD, physical challenges, mental challenges, special needs, social needs, emotional needs, etc. Public schools must accept all students of age in their district.

I get parents don't want to be responsible for their children's safety or education. They rather depend on the gov to do it for them. Then when the gov fails you want to empower the gov to restrict my rights more than they already do.

Problem is that if the Pres/VP don't immediately say something the loonies will start baying "the Prez/VP don't care they're in NRA's hip pocket".
