No arguments here, but I had the impression that the WH with all the rhetoric about NK, would have had a plan for a meeting? Clearly they did not and that is on the WH for failing to plan as it is clear they did not plan.

Any time the President doesn't tweet is fine by me.

Certainly, we all wish for competent leadership. But you're kidding yourself if you don't think that there is an earnest wish for this President to fail.

Although the first sentence should've been edited to remove the "with respect to" and the "I would like to thank" should've been changed to "Thank you," and although I strenuously object to the use of "feel" rather than "believe" or "think," I think the letter was very good otherwise.

If someone fails even though they genuinely try is one thing, its another thing when somebody just lies about doing something when he clearly isnt and is a blowhard, taking credit for something that hasnt been done yet, or is even a part of- it's two different things you ought to be able to figure out.

I am certain Trump had no plan just an idea he could get an agreement in just a few hours. The agreement of course would have been huge and the best ever

I'm glad he made this decision. North Korea was aiming to take advantage of signs of weakness from the President and was quickly reverting to form and the President was over indulging the fantasies of "a deal."

Pompeo, who has kind of won me over at this point, could only do so much with an artificially shrunk timeline.

Don't give up diplomacy, but don't rush it along either.

The tone has changed, Kim is back at threatening nuclear attack, this is not the attitude a reasonable person would expect to get a denuclearization deal from. Maybe Kim has reconsidered, maybe he will rectify, Trump hasn't changed his position on any of the fundamentals; will gladly meet Kim, demands verifiable denuclearization before any concessions, if that's not on the table, why bother?

The truth is, most of us are still underestimating the power of N. Korea.

North Korea has a rather large fleet of submarines.

I might add, most of them are archaic junk tubs, but remarkably our National Defense knows that several are very capable and are equipped to launch Ballistic and anti-ballistic missiles.

The problem is, our National Defense has no earthly idea where all of these subs are at any given minute.

They could be swirling around in the San Francisco Bay or running up and down the Hudson river for all we actually know- as we speak.

That kind of power should get you a pretty good seat at any Negotiation table.

As for Trump... Europe is awful with their reporting. Even worse than in the US because there is no alternate media.

Trump is respected. His word trusted... though they may hate him... his word is good. He made promises, and unlike most politicians... he kept them.

Was in Albania twice. Enjoyed both trips. Part of the trip was to evaluate properties... lots of plastic bottles on the beaches we visited. Corruption was a big concern with our team. Lots of concrete mushrooms in the landscape too; the “bunkers” created by your last Commi Idiot Leader. I called it the Commi version of Telletubbies.

Had to laugh out loud when we passed the gas stations called Kastrati.

One surprise is you guys have Corona beer there... everywhere!!!
