Bill Gates: I Had To Explain To Trump The Difference Between HPV and HIV

Interesting thread.

I wonder how American feels about Trump using millions of dollars in taxpayer money to finance his golf outings to Bedminster and Mar-A-Lago while seniors have to eat dog food. Something tells me Obama didn't spend millions of dollars on those Christmas trees.

I mean, this is the same group outraged at all the golf trips Obama was taking, but then have no objections when Trump spends more, plays more golf.

It's all meaningless, integrity-lacking, hyperpartisan drivel. Both sides do it, it's how the Republocrats keep up appearances of being different.

Why the exaggeration?

Because it is not

The president indirectly has access to researchers through the various government branches. From the EPA, FDA, DOD, NHTSA and so one. So if the president is looking for a report on a particular subject it can be sourced from the many researchers at the various federal government departments. The president, any president has the unique ability to be the most informed person on earth if he or she so wishes it to be.

Yup. I bitched about Obama's overzealous and ridiculous spending, but I'm not a hypocrite, which is why I criticize Trump for the same thing.

Given his lifestyle one would think he'd be more acquainted with the various STDs.

When youre as rich as him, you get da virgins first.

I wasn't on this site at the time - were the Obama fans this pathetic excusing his blunders back when he was president?

Absolutely some of them were. I remember it. They are also exhibiting hypocritical behavior of the highest order when they attack Trump for what they excused Obama for. It all reminds me of the evangelicals and other good "family" people. When Clinton played Hide the Salami with a woman other than his wife, the world came to an end. When Trump does the same thing, it's no big deal. Just give him a mulligan.

This is why I'm not a hyperpartisan. Hyperpartisan behavior and all hypocrisy associated with it is pathetic.

But by the way, the Obama fans actually did a better job of excusing Obama. I vehemently disagreed with them, but I never felt like I was reading one of my kids' 4th grade term papers when reading their posts.

biff biff biff biff, smh. Is this all you have. Next you'll bitch that Trump hasn't cured cancer.

Nah, no one expects a sack of malignant ooze to cure cancer. Would be nice if he knew something, anything, about the world we live in though.

As crappy as Obama was as President, he wasn't the abject failure Trump it. It looks like a 4th grade term paper because it cannot engage on any level but banal and elementary. He put cronies into positions of power like the EPA and HUD that are spending like mad. He runs off to golf courses all the time, wasting money as he goes. He has multiple divorces, cheats on his wife with porn stars, continually embarrasses the United State, etc. And they have to defend him. This is how the partisan works. Believe it that if Trump said and did all the same things, but was a D rather than an R, these very same folk would be going bonkers after him like they did Obama.

This is what partisan politics is. It's pointless, it's damaging to the Republic, it's ignorant, and it's all we got.

Wow, that cute, but completely irrelevant.

Lol, is it now? It's ok buddy. Everyone already knew that you were just being partisan before I even posted that link.

Considering Trump was a "D" for pretty much his entire adult life (like his children and son in law were), my guess is his fan base would be braying like donkeys about his disgusting behavior if he hadn't "switched parties" 5 minutes before deciding to pretend to be a God fearing conservative in order to dupe the easily duped into thinking he was going to save them from the nasty Mexicans and Muslims.

Yup, partisanship is going to destroy this country. That's why I've now become an equal opportunity basher if in fact the politician deserves bashing. I am no longer being stupid enough to put hypocritical behavior on display.

It shows how he lacks intellectual curiosity. The HPV vaccine was a BIG breakthrough a few years ago. The debate over the vaccine was all over the news. He on the other hand was oblivious. Says a lot about him as a person and just coincides with a lot of stuff that know him pretty well say about him.

It's pretty ridiculous. I guess the GOP isn't the Christian party, or the party of family values, or the party of balanced budgets, or the party of smaller government; lol. It's just "Who has the R". Of course, the Democrats have no values or integrity either, it's all about who has the D. Actually, it was about Clinton this past run, and that's why the screwed the pooch so hard in that election. But I think Trump has highlighted for sure how the GOP has no integrity, supporting a life long Democrat turned Republican who is the embodiment of what they are supposed to stand against in our public officials.

It's pathetic, but that's our hyperpartisan system. And it won't change, and it won't get better so long as we keep putting the D's and R's in power.

That's why we need a good third party, and we need it now. And we need to push garbage like Trump, Pelosi, Schumer, the Freedom Caucus, Evangelicals, and every other dangerous monster out of the way. It's time for the adults to regain control of this country.

Says the man that started a thread bout the exorbitant number of christmas trees Obama had in the whitehouse rather than using the money to feed people.

https://www.debatepolitics.com/gove...-54-christmas-trees.html?highlight=obama+golf

Seriously. Give it up.

How stupid. I went to DC every Christmas growing up to see family and we often go see those trees. This was the 80's under Reagan. Each tree decorated with something pertinent to the state it belongs too. I.E. Ohio's tree had buckeye ornaments on it... and so on.

Creepy how Trump is so focused on young women and girls...

We do, but the rules are set up very well against Third Party participation, so we're not really going to develop one. We're really caught in the Catch 22. Can't regain control of the Republic without strong Third Party pressure, cannot get strong Third Party pressure so long as the One Party is setting the rules. Too many people buy into the farce that is the Republocrats. So mostly we're kind of sunk.

He's supposed to be a leader, not an encyclopedia. That's what he has cabinet members for.

Yeah, he was elected to blindly choose options he doesn't understand, LEADERSHIP. I to make all my decisions by random chance backed with relentless ignorance, do I have your vote?

Did you cry about the seniors eating dog food while you looked at those beautiful trees?

You bet I did as I longed for the Nixon, Ford, and Carter years. /s

I think the highlighted may have more than a little to do with Obama's faults (and there were many) vs. Trump's faults, which are more numerous and many are downright absurd.

I bashed Obama after he let the lobbyists rape the ACA, after that "red line" nonsense with Syria and a bunch of other things. To me, Obama was somewhat better than GWB and Trump is the worst pres I've lived through, and that includes Nixon and LBJ. Clinton and GHWB were both bad in their own ways, but they tried to moderate their policies when necessary. I miss that ability in a leader, a lot.

You and me both, alt.

All true.

I think the best option is probably to make sure neither side of that party gets complete control. They fight each other and it limits the damage - basically only slowing the entropy, but I don't have a better idea at this time.

Didn't Obama have trouble negotiating the difference between Corps and Corpse Man? ;)

The things that trigger people these days is mind blowingly stupid!

Tim-

That's the ticket. Please lead with this in the Fall as your main talking point. Please, please. Don't develop any policies or anything, just lead with this. I assure you, it's a real winner !!!!!!

You mean like the Housing Secy whose experience with public housing is that he once lived in one as a child?
Or maybe the EPA head that has no appreciation for protecting the environment?
Or the Education Secy that knows nothing about public schools?

You mean that cabinet? In any case, a president shouldn't be expected to know the fuel composition of a Titan missile, he should have some basic knowledge. Knowing the difference between HPV and HIV is high school knowledge.

Most objectionable is supporters making excuses for his ignorance and lack of curiosity.

Inorite? Google...it's just as accessible as Twitter.
