Maxine Waters to PA Rep: 'I Resent the Remark About Making America Great Again'

You can apologize profusely on behalf of The Right, then buy everyone cupcakes. Oh, and you can take the nutters on The Right and throw them into a swimming pool filled with cold water so they can wake up. That should do.

;)
Are you equally responsible for the totality of "The left"? If that is the case, then you have your own apologies to make...

She is right he is a dishonorable President...

And "Making America Great Again" is an empty platitude for nationalist idiots.

Is that you Maxine?

You folks really have a thing for dumping big loads on the Clintons these days. What’s wrong? Don’t like them any longer?

“Dishonorable”? Just wait until we fully unpack the Obama administration turning the FBI and CIA into a political arm to take down political opponents. Y’know, like they used the DoJ and IRS as political tools.

The feeling is mutual. No defense of MAGA is all I wanted to confirm.

You already confirmed that you don't think America could be better. But, despite you liberals, Trump actually is making America Great Again.

I thought I had acknowledged we don't always have the best of intentions, if not, I acknowledge that now. We are not perfect by any stretch. My point is when some of us get into "hate America first" mode they forget the myriad good things we've done.

Cannot argue with that. When living in Mexico, I prided myself on explaining/defending to friends what seemed to be inexplicable actions by the US government. Not an easy task, as they had weird stereotypes of US citizens.

Talk about voter fraud! In all my life I have never read or heard one single person admit to voting for her and yet she is elected over and over.

You know what else is funny? I can't get anyone to admit to voting for Trump either. Can you imagine that?

I agreed with you; and you still can't ignore the chip on your shoulder.

I agreed with you, except for the euphemisms.

You edited my post once again, so I don't think you're an honest participant in this forum.

If there is something of import that you would like me to address, ask.

Plus your reference to Christians is less than meaningless to me. Too bad. I thought you had a point.

I don't even recall what my reference was. Was it that American christians were the ones who launched the US illegal invasion of Hawaii? That American christians are responsible for many of the US holocausts.

Really? Care to start with me - I voted Trump and unless there are drastic circumstances will do so again......

I voted for Trump after initially planning to sit the 2016 race out. I do not regret my vote and will vote for him again in 2020. How's that?

Talk about a meltdown.

You can't make America great again because it has never been great. Just try to describe a time when it wasn't stealing others lands, murdering people, committing genocide, ... .

The only reason anyone would suggest such nonsense is if they had been born and brainwashed in the USA.

A country that is the equal of the Nazis in evil, but having this evil occur relentless over a 250 year period could be called a great gangster nation, a great war criminal nation, a great terrorist nation but that's it!

Look at me, look at me I really, really hate America!! Just ask me and I will tell you!

Don't hate America, Common Sense, hate the evil America does. Speak up and out about this evil that you know full well exists. Look at right now, US war crimes/terrorism against Syria, the long, ongoing US war crimes/terrorism against Iraq and Afghanistan, Libya, the illegal overthrow of Ukraine, that is the definition of terrorism.

Why not shoot for making America great for once, make America what it is supposed to be instead of what it is, a war criminal, terrorist, evil vicious nation that only cares about itself?

You can't make a point that you made up in your head. I never said that the US can't be better. I said that it can't be better "again" because it has always been better. This argument is tired.

Well then, I guess you would agree that Trump is making America Greater, just not Great Again. Can you say that?

In that sloppy, unqualified way you are suggesting? No. There are lots of metrics by which we can judge some Americans as doing better now than they were doing before now. I'm quite sure that some of those people are doing better because of policies or actions of the administration. I can also make a compelling case about why the US is doing worse in many regards and has made some Americans' lives worse, not greater.

That's the point, isn't it? Campaign slogans are not intended to imply policy positions. That would alienate voters. "Make America Great Again" was never intended to mean anything in a specific sense related to foreign and domestic policies. It was a dog whistle to the majority to remember a time when it could easily subjugate all of the various minorities for their own continued control of the economic, political, and cultural power structures.

It's a deliberately fear-mongering slogan that appeals to the basest of minds. It's that simple.

I didn't vote for him in 2016 but I will more than likely do so in 2020

Then you were just being partisan with your previous post. For you guys, it is every way America is better is due to Obama and every way that we are worse it is due to Trump. Do you actually expect your posts to be taken seriously? Well, I guess you do but no one with an objective mind will take your posts seriously. Guess that means you are content with the Ra Ra Ra's cheered on by your fellow partisans. So be it.

What does Obama have to do with anything? If you don't have anything to say, just say so rather than repeat mindless partisan chatter.

Says the guy who posts nothing but mindless partisan chatter. Fact is, no one with an objective mind believes any of the nonsense you post. You are just an arrogant egotist who likes to post partisan crap and feels good when the partisan left agrees with you.
