No Israelis were reported killed or injured in the missile attacks and it is unclear at this time whether any Israeli infrastructure, military or civilian, was damaged. The origin of the missiles and/or rockets has not yet been verified. More fact checking is needed before jumping to conclusions.

Ii means that the title of this thread is incorrect from a factual standpoint and thus the thesis of this discussion may be incorrect too. It is still too early to properly analyse what has transpired. Israel has been launching airstrikes into Syria targeted at Iranian installations and fighters who are in Syria for about two years now and has recently increased the numbers and intensity of such strikes. Those Iranian fighters and installations are in Syria at the invitation of the Syrian Government, in order to fight the Sunni-led opposition forces including ISIS and Al-Qaeda off-shoots and those Iranians are therefore there quite legally. If this is an Iranian response to those air strikes (and that is not clear at this time) then the Iranians are not making unprovoked attacks at all but are making military responses to unprovoked attacks launched against them in Syria by Israel.

Facts matter and until they can be found, verified and established all there is is gossip, rumour-mongering and propaganda (from all sides involved the cauldron of lies and carnage that is post-Arab-Spring Syria).

The Allawite Assad does not belong in Syria, he represents 12% of the Shia population of Syria, the Sunni represent 75% of Syria's population, and Assad has not authority from the people of Syria to have Shia forces from Iran in his unacceptable rule. And the great irony, the Allawites are more Christian than muslim, forced to convert to islam, their private religious rituals are more Christian than islamic.

The Israelis prefer Assad in power in Syria, rather the insurgents. Better a devil you know than one you don't know.

I'm sorry, did Israel not bomb Iranian forces first? Yet people immediately jump to Israels defense? They are just as culpable as any in that region. They have tons of blood on their hands

Israel since 1949 and that is 69 years not 5,000 years.

How did Israel come to have that territory?
OH that's right, Syria and several other nations attempted to WIPE ISRAEL OFF THE MAP!

Israel seized the Golan Heights from Syria in the closing stages of the 1967 Six-Day War. Most of the Syrian Arab inhabitants fled the area during the conflict.

An armistice line was established and the region came under Israeli military control. Almost immediately Israel began to settle the Golan.

Of course Israel wants war. That has been a huge component of the success of Bibbi's campaigns in the past. He is tough on terror, and what better ways to be tough on terror than bombing random countries and fear mongering your people and the United States into believing things that been proven to be lies again and again.
