)Special counsel Robert Mueller's investigators have questioned a Russian oligarch about hundreds of thousands of dollars in payments his company's US affiliate made to President Donald Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen, after the election, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Viktor Vekselberg, chairman of asset manager Renova Group, is an oligarch close to Vladimir Putin, and last month the Trump administration placed him on a list of sanctioned Russians for activities including election interference. The purpose of the payments, which predate the sanctions, and the nature of the business relationship between Vekselberg and Cohen is unclear.
The scrutiny of the payments could add to the legal troubles for Cohen, whose home and office were raided last month as part of a criminal investigation by federal prosecutors in Manhattan. In court documents, the prosecutors said at least part of their inquiry stemmed from a referral from Mueller's office.

And no doubt - if this holds up - it has absolutely nothing to do in proving collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians. I am sure the Trumpkins who are experts apologists and excuse makers will be able to shove their heads even deeper into the sand and deny reality which threatens to encroach upon their willful delusions.

Awesome, tabloid politics on full display, while you people attack Trump on his personality and the past while I celebrate his results and the new taxpayers, surplus in April WITH TAX CUTS, and improving economic growth. think the American electorate gives a damn now about your wild claims of Russian interference? No, they are happy with more spendable income, part time employment going to full time employment and 3 million new jobs. Keep those tabloid politics going while Americans care about economic and foreign policy results.

He really needs cash. Those medallions and loan payments have forced him to put up his $9mil apartment for bank debts. And who knows how much he owes and who he's borrowed from? Where has his fortune gone?

I still don't know what people are talking about with this.

That said, I'd be utterly unsurprised if Clinton and a ****load of other establishment corporatists calling themselves democrats were just as dirty as Trump and crew.

AT&T Inc. and Korea Aerospace Industries also transferred funds into the same Trump/Cohen First Republic Bank account.

Just heard about ATT and posted that. Clearly Cohen had more side deals on the go, as he stated to the Judge who his 3 clients were covered by privilege, these arrangements (ATT- Korea Aero) would not be classed as lawyer/client privileged communications. He must demonstrate as well as the companies, work product from these payments
Bet this list gets longer.

Why is Russia important to you? The election is long gone and people care about jobs and economic growth. Are Democrats the only ones allowed to engage in propaganda?

What percentage increase have you received in salary since Trump was elected a little more than a year ago?

Or did you get a new job with a huge salary increase? What percentage was your increase?

When?

I don't know a whole lot of people that has happened to.

I have been retired for 14 years, spent 35 years in the private sector and took civics in high school. I have seen no evidence of you or anyone else of your ideology with the same experience or background

I do notice that actual results aren't of interest to you but 3 million more people are employed thus NEW taxpayers, and almost 1 million part time employees are now working full time so tell those people Trump's economic policies aren't working?

Wait, hold on, I thought Trump violated campaign finance law by paying his lawyer for a settlement. Now, a russian oligarch paid him? Who paid the lawyer, Trump or the Russian? Pick one.

I agree that people care about jobs and economic growth. The economy was doing very well before trump came into office, and it's doing even better. Yup, no doubt about that. The tax cuts didn't really impact the middle class much. Most people I know didn't see much impact from that. Many, while caring about the economy, simultaneously care about Mueller's investigation and what crimes he may find. He may find nothing, and Trump may be innocent. But I don't see why it's so wrong to care about all of these things simultaneously, especially a criminal investigation into the President's campaign and the Presidents's own actions. If Hillary were President, I would want to know the outcome of that investigation as well, and I'm sure you would, too. All Americans have a right to know what happened (I'm not a democrat).
