Trump winning over Democrats with his handling of key issues, CNN poll finds

Huh...you sound like the KKK when Obama was President. What's it like to have something in common with them?

er uh Kal, democrats don't have to lie and remain ignorant of the facts to not like trump. You and yours were told President Obama was born in kenya, his BC a forgery, he wanted to kill old people, secret muslim, the stimulus would cause hyper inflation, dollar collapse, market to zero and of course the vile and disgusting "stand down" lies. Surely even you can tell there is a teensy bit of difference.

and Kal, it wasn't just the KKK, it was most conservatives.

What's the source of that optimism? Does the CNN poll say?

President Trump and his policies, many of which are actually being implemented are the source.

Wait till the bye bye Iran deal numbers kick in.

And yet Democrats do lie and do remain ignorant of many facts. And I never said that Republicans were any better. ;)

BTW: I'd challenge you to prove that I said or believed (which ever you prefer) Republicans that said Obama was born in Kenya, that his BC was forged, that he wanted to kill old people, that he was a secret muslim, that the stimulus would cause hyper inflation, talk about the dollar collapse or market to zero or the stand down comment. Since you apparently seem so convinced that I said or believed any of those then I'm sure you can find 8 posts out of 35,695 posts that said those things. That's all you need to do..provide 8 posts. Search function will help I'm sure. GL.

Or you can simply retract the "you and yours" bit. Yes, many republicans did say that. But I'm not a part of the Republican team. My lean even says "independent" to show that I'm not a part of any team. I like to think for myself.

I think Democrats should focus more on Russian Collusion.

Impeachment.

Raising taxes.

It’s doing wonders.

Such Master Strategeristas.

LOL... Trump-Democrats... ROTFLOL...
The current democratic leadership is establishment/corporatist.

They CAN'T do what needs to be done in order to win - go further left/progressive - and keep the big money donors their campaign managers insist they need.

Although it's actually the campaign managers who need those donors, because that's their moneymaker - large money donations they can redirect to their friends in the media for campaign ads few watch but which make both the media and the campaign managers boatloads of money.

Basically, I'm saying the democrats leadership (and perhaps most of the democratic party) too far corrupted to do anything real, so they have to push the distraction bull**** and hope Trump dislike pulls them over the finish line in enough places.

Of course it doesn't help that the democratic leadership is basically campaign managers.

the wa times? Right wing toilet paper.

1. CNN

2. We read the Washington Times.

3. Republicans have long graduated from using newsprint to wipe our rectums with. There is toilet paper y’know. You should try it.

What's the source of that optimism? Does the CNN poll say?

ROTFLOL

After the dearth of jobs during Obama’s 8-years and the press reporting on the recovery every quarter that never arrived... Trump has simply changed the employment and business landscape to something that is a vibrant, free economy.

He is also fulfilling promises galore... like the one yesterday.

This will piss off people like you, but it is not meant to... People can bank on what Trump says.

He will bring jobs back.
He will create an environment to bring companies back.
He will knock the **** out of and defeat ISIS.
He will get rid of ObamaCare.
He will cut regulations. Here he wasn’t so accurate. He hasn’t cut regs, he is gutting masses of them.
He will lower taxes.
He will scrap TPP.
He will pull out of The Paris Climate BS.
He will renegotiate or scrap NAFTA.
He will secure our borders.
He will deal with illegal immigration.
He will cancel Obama’s idiotic Iran deal.

Many Democrats not liking the CNN poll wish Trump was a liar... ROTFLOL.

He’s The Delivery Man... man.

And this in 16-months.

Well, now that we've scuttled the Iran nuclear deal, and we have John "Notorious Chickenhawk" Bolton aboard, it's going to be war with Iran.
Let's see how Mr. Trump's approval ratings look once that quagmire has commenced.

I could be wrong, but doesn't a President's approval rating go up during times of war?

And yet Democrats do lie and do remain ignorant of many facts. And I never said that Republicans were any better. ;)

I'm saying democrats are better. the dishonest narratives I posted that large percentages if not majorities of conservatives prove it. and remember, you compared us to the KKK so I consider your "both sides do it" narrative rather vile.

I use "you and yours" as a colloquialism for conservatives.

You don't even know how many believed any of those things that you commented on. You just assume that its "large percentages if not majorities". By saying that alone you have proven that you don't actually know how many believed it. All you did was spout talking points with no basis to draw from. Just assumptions.

Bold: Wait a second, you consider it vile to be compared to the KKK and yet you compare Republicans to the KKK? Guess its ok in your mind to be vile but if anyone is "vile" to you then god forbid? Thanks for proving my point about both sides though. ;)

I use "you and yours" as a colloquialism for conservatives.

I see what you did there. You're trying to walk back what you said without actually having to admit that you were wrong. You really think I believe that BS? "Oh man, it was just a colloquialism!" That was a laughable attempt there Vern.

What I find remarkable about this poll is that their sampling data is almost exactly in line with the latest Gallup numbers of nation-wide party affiliation. That enormously raises the credibility of this poll.

Poll Accepted!!

lol...of course it is.

:lamo

Do you think it's a bogus poll? Why?

No, man, I just think it's funny that the only polls that "aren't bogus" are the ones that support your boy. Your pattern is pretty well established, I'm afraid. ;)

You are free to be wrong.

I gave a very specific reason for accepting this poll.

I could be wrong, but doesn't a President's approval rating go up during times of war?

Normally, but everything's topsy turvy in Trumplandia. They may indeed spike temporarily, but you have to ask yourself, what would a Trump war look like? The reason Bush's ratings went up initially is because we were attacked, and we had reasons for invading Afghanistan.
Once the Iraq war became a quagmire, Bush's ratings began to tank.

I refuse to separate the two, his personality determines the policies he supports.

I don't like Trump's personality. I wouldn't loan him money or leave him alone with my wife. I wouldn't want him for a neighbor. I have worked with people that I don't like. People have worked for me that I didn't like. My concern was how they did their job and did they produce to the standard that I expected. I didn't vote for Trump to be my friend.

hehe...oh, I'm sure we all know why you accepted this poll, given specific reason notwithstanding. It's all good, homie, just glad you found one you liked. :)

Polls are only accurate for the last two weeks of an election and then it's debatable, as demonstrated in the last presidential election. One thing polls are good for is tracking trends, if they use the same demographic weights from one poll to another. If they use the same demographics then one can track if approval goes up or down. Other than that polls are usually propaganda. Trump's approval has climbed in almost every poll.

I know some will be tempted to point out that the last presidential election predictions were based on national polls. The statewide polls were off in the several of the states that were part of the infamous "blue wall" that was supposed to protect Clinton.

Sorry Kal, not assumptions.
“On President Barack Obama’s birthday, a new CNN/Opinion Research released Wednesday shows 41 percent of Republicans believe Obama was “probably” or “definitely” born in another country. “

41% of Republicans: President Obama foreign-born - Andy Barr - POLITICO.com

About four in 10 U.S. adults believe that President Obama's healthcare reform law will create "death panels" to decide patients' fitness for care, according to a new Associated Press-GfK survey.

Poll: Four in 10 believe in Obama healthcare law

Now I don’t have actual numbers for the % of conservatives (and conservative like posters) who believed the vile and disgusting “stand down” lies so I’ll generously assume it was only 90%. Remember, conservatives (and conservative like posters) ranted and whined each time an investigation proved it false. So after 8 investigations, it’s probably under 50% by now.

forget for just a second the hilarious hypocrisy of accusing me of something I've never posted after you've whined about my "you and yours" colloquialism and focus on this: Dems don't call the KKK "fine people" and (read this slowly) dems don't pander to them nor count on their support. Now you can think about the hilarious hypocrisy of accusing me of something I've never posted.

But kal, you did admit one thing in your obedient “both sides do it” narrative. You are admitting there was a racist aspect to the non-stop lies from the right for 8 years under President Obama. You simply created the “narrative” it was a small group and/or mostly KKK. My polls above show otherwise.

So let’s get back to the main point. You are trying to “equate” legitimate criticism of Trump and a republican created investigation run by republicans to the non-stop lies from the right for 8 years under President Obama. There is simply no comparison. No one is encouraging me to believe vile and disgusting lies. No one is whipping me into a frenzy of hate and paranoia. So stop looking for excuses to deflect from your own post.

And fyi, I’ve walked back nothing. I explained “you and yours” but you’re just trying to deflect. Again, stop.

Bolded: two words, Russian Collusion.

poor OC, there is evidence of Russian collusion. I cant tell if you're truly ignorant of all the facts that have come out or just dishonest. But in case you're just ignorant let me get you up to speed. numerous trump campaign officials and relatives met with the Russians and then lied about it. There is currently an investigation into collusion and obstruction (don't forget about that) started by republicans and being run by republicans. think of all the things you just knew President Obama or Hillary were "guilty of" only based on what proven liars told you. so pardon my chuckles at your new magical standards.

RE Obama's birth: That poll of Republicans was of less than 300 republicans. In a poll of over 1000. Not worth the "paper" its written on.

Re Health care: Your own link says that the reason that "death panels" saying originated (from sarah palin) was due to some provisions that were actually in the bill before it was passed, but they got scrapped. Of course it also points out that she again mentioned such when SCOTUS was hearing it. Still, 4 in 10 is not large. But I guess that could be a subjective point so I'll give you this one based on that alone.

As for the stand down I'd read this: Diplomat: U.S. Special Forces told "you can't go" to Benghazi during attacks

Something like that is bound to make people believe that a stand down order was given.

The whole "fine people" argument comes from Trump talking about what happened in Charllottesvile(sp?). A statement taking out of context.

As for the hypocrisy...there is none. You literally got upset at me for comparing the KKK and Democrats the way that I did in a completely separate thread. Saying it was "rather vile". And yet you have proclaimed conservatives/Republicans as racist in other posts. That is hypocrisy.

But kal, you did admit one thing in your obedient “both sides do it” narrative. You are admitting there was a racist aspect to the non-stop lies from the right for 8 years under President Obama. No, I didn't say that there were racist aspects to the lies. There are however racist people. On both sides. You assume that all the people that believed those lies did it for racist reasons. Something which you can't prove, only assume.

Tell me, is it a legitimate argument to claim that Trump doesn't deserve credit for getting NOKO to the peace table? Despite South Korea saying otherwise, that they're just lying to appease Trump? Is it legitimate to claim that Australia's PM lied about that call early in 2017? Or the call between Trump and Mexico's President with Trump supposedly threatening the Mexican President with US troops? I could give many more examples of the lies told by the left. So yeah, both sides do it is a valid statement. Whether you want to acknowledge that or not. You can argue whether one was worse than the other, but that is subjective and is not a point worth arguing.

And fyi, I’ve walked back nothing. I explained “you and yours” but you’re just trying to deflect. Again, stop.

Yeah.......right.

oh look, the ole "flail at the poll" narrative. Yea, I didn't see that coming. Anyhoo, the part you don't understand as you flail is I've proven my point. And kal, 4 in 10 was for all America. And since it was a lying conservative narrative, its a safe bet that 90% of that 40% were conservatives. Yea, I call that a majority of conservatives. Like I said, " "large percentages if not majorities".

And kal, you do yourself no favors trying to rationalize the disgusting, vile and un-American lies concerning "death panels" and "stand down" lies. Do yourself and America a favor, stop looking for the easy excuse to cling to lying conservative narratives and learn the facts.

what was this, the sixth "investigation"? I wish they were this determined to get to the bottom of 9-11. Anyhoo, this report simply reshreds all the conservative narratives. Which brings up a good question, why did conservatives really really really want all those foul lies to be true?
