Boeing left too, HQ to Chicago and production increasingly going to lower cost states, and let us remember as we go that as I speak Washington State is giving Boeing huge tax give-backs on the business that remains in this state, trying to convince Boeing to not remove even more work from the state, a project that is likely to fail.
Kshama Sawant, the nutcase Seattle keeps electing to the City Council, had this to say about Boeing:
“The workers should take over the factories, and shut down Boeing’s profit-making machine.”
And a few breaths later, regarding Boeing moving jobs out of state:
“That will be nothing short of economic terrorism because it's going to devastate the state's economy!”
So she's trying to rally workers to seize and shut down factories... and then calls it economic terrorism that such businesses might seek to do their business elsewhere. Seriously, it's one thing to be this ****ing crazy, but how crazy do thousands of people have to be to elect someone like this?
Would you want to set up and grow your business in a place where your fellow residents eagerly elect rabidly anti-business people like this to run the City?
I wouldn't.
