Rear Adm. Ronny Jackson will reportedly not return to his role as President Trump's personal physician after he withdrew his nomination for Veterans Affairs (VA) secretary following numerous allegations of improper behavior.

Two senior White House officials told Politico that Jackson will not continue on as Trump's doctor, and will be permanently replaced by Sean Conley, a Navy officer who had filled in for Jackson last month.

The Hill has reached out to the White House for comment.

It would appear that the President has lost in confidence in Dr Jackson.

The only kind of person who'd want to work in the White House at this point is someone who literally has nothing to lose. But if you have no dignity, no possessions, no savings, no prospects and no family, then by all means have a go at it.

Could be the other way around.

Or maybe Kelly put his foot down on it? Maybe the reasoning was that after all that has come out in the media and Gowdy having said that some of the allegations against Dr Jackson were worthy of investigation that there was no way they could bring him back.

Once under the Trump Bus, you are pretty much then kicked to the curb.

Good metaphor.

One that also comes to mind is Icarus flying too close to the sun.

I'd still give them a hard pass.

It's obvious Jackson handed Trump too many uppers for that Fox phone interview.

Surely the doctor shortage is not so bad yet that the WH wont find a good one to take care of our President.

I am running along to more important matters.

Other than perhaps General McMaster, I can't think of anyone who left the White House under this administration with their personal or professional reputations still intact, or who didn't immediately have to get a lawyer.

Doctors, Lawyers, soon won’t be able to find Indian Chiefs. All are hiding, hoping not to be called on........twist one up!

I called this last week, next will be an investigation by the Pentagon. Do not embarrass the Military, and if even a small portion of the allegations are true, his career is finished.
And IMHO, a good portion are true and he is ffd.
The audacity of the man knows no bounds, to think he had the ability, skills to run the VA show how large his ego is.

McMaster was up for promotion, working at the WH killed it, reason he retired.

Nobody gets out alive, huh? I'm thinking Kelly will probably be the next to fly the coop.

man. he lied for Trump for nothing. he should have had sex with him for $130k.

What did Trump do? I think the scurrilous attacks and lies by Democrats have just soured him on public life. I don't blame him.

It's what did Trump not do? What he didn't bother doing was vet Jackson. If the staff had bothered to ask around they would have uncovered the allegations against Jackson in minutes, and then they could have determined whether there was any legitimacy to them. If there was they could have rejected Jackson as a candidate before it blew up into a giant public ****storm. And if there wasn't they could have formed a narrative in response to the inevitable questions that would arise during the confirmation hearings.

And as usual, because Trump doesn't understand his job yet another guy's reputation is flushed down the toilet.

Talk is moving him to VA, that would be a demotion. So he could be next

Begging the question fallacy. The stories have either not been corroborated, or denied by the sources with any knowledge. How are you supposed to vet a person for lies that will be told by Democrats?

That was totally unnecessary. All he had to do was say "believe me" but he forgot.

That is not necessary either. That is why he has the best people to help him out.

Just more evidence that the Conservative media is full of schiet. More dribble about Tester and the POTUS who nominated him does not want him back. LOL :lamo:lamo

Strikes me as odd that a doctor and military flag officer who has served directly with three Presidents wasn't vetted.

Poisoning the Well fallacy.

The allegations existed. If the White House staff had done its job it would have uncovered those allegations. But Trump picks his staff based on loyalty instead of qualifications, so you can expect this sort of thing to happen all the time.
