Well, some people have high and some have low standards while yet others have none. To think that Trump is doing well or that his election was the right call is a demonstration of a total lack, not only of at least, low standards but that of even common decency. To believe that others who presented themselves as GOP candidates could or would not have done and achieved the very same results betrays in the least a naiveté if not outright ignorance and dishonesty. May I remind you that if you muster a bit of integrity you will admit that Trump has not achieved ANYTHING on his own initiative, he has not proposed a single piece of major legislation, has not inspired one nor has he made any progress in uniting the nation. ON the contrary he has only managed to further divide while also embarrassing not only the office which he hols but the nation as a whole. While it IS true that since Trump became President there have been positive results, none can be demonstrably attributed to a single specific deed by Trump.
Is it? This reminds me of Dickens' opening to the "A Tale of Two Cities" "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way"
So just how bad do you think is the situation and what makes it so bad?
I will admit that we as individuals and as a society must always do better no matter what the present situation is. Matter of fact we are obliged to do so if we want to present ourselves as a nation that cares not only about ourselves and our personal powers but as one who cares about how we leave it to posterity and if we are to maintain the role of leadership instead of laughing stock.
