Hannity making millions off the foreclosures with help from Ben Carson's HUD. He had Ben Carson on his show to kiss his ass about how great a guy Carson is for HUD and of course didn't disclose all this. And THIS is the small "real estate" discussions Hannity had with Cohen.

Sean Hannity linked to shell companies that spent $90M on property

Fox News host Sean Hannity is linked to a group of shell companies that have spent $90 million buying hundreds of homes across the U.S through the help of foreclosures and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Guardian reported Sunday. More than 870 homes in seven different states have been purchased over the past decade, ranging from large mansions to rentals for low-income families, according to the newspaper.

For some of the mortgages, Hannity reportedly obtained funding from HUD under the National Housing Act loan program, which was first guaranteed under President Obama’s administration. Secretary Ben Carson’s department recently increased Hannity’s original $17.9 million mortgage for purchases in Georgia by an additional $5 million, records obtained by the Guardian show. Hannity did not disclose his cooperation with HUD when he had Carson on his show last June, the Guardian noted.

Re: Sean Hannity linked to shell companies that spent $90M on property

So Hannity buys and sells real estate. How terrible! Is it illegal? Making money with real estate... Oh the nerve of that guy. He has invested in real estate for years.

Guess someone is leaking the material taken from Cohen?

That article might as well have been a bunch of blank pages, it would have contained the same information. He's got nothing to worry about if this is what they are going to press with. Wow.

Re: Sean Hannity linked to shell companies that spent $90M on property

OMG, Sean Hannity does real estate. Run for your lives.

I thought old Sean was against government programs?

Well, let's see. Hannity ragged on Obama for causing millions to suffer from foreclosures (even though those foreclosures happened because of the housing bubble, which burst before Obama came into office).

He then profited off of those suffering Americans, buying their foreclosed homes, using a government guaranty program set up during the Obama administration, at an agency currently run by Ben Carson, who has appeared on Hannity's show, without any discussion of conflicts of interest.

I believe terms like "unethical" and "rank hypocrite" come to mind.

Try again.

"Hannity’s chosen investment strategy is confirmed by thousands of pages of public records reviewed by the Guardian, which detail a real estate portfolio of remarkable scale that has not previously been reported."

Re: Sean Hannity linked to shell companies that spent $90M on property

The link to HUD is buying insurance against default on the loans for the properties. Its like saying someone has a link to a federal agency for buying flood insurance.

HUD is also loaning money to Hannity via his shell companies for the purchases.

Late last month, Hannity’s mortgages were replaced with loans for $22.9m that were rewritten with Carson’s Hud and a new bank. There was no indication that Carson was personally involved in the process. Carson does, however, have the authority to allow Hannity from 2019 to convert the rental complexes into condominiums for sale, which could be lucrative for the television host.

Which they do to encourage housing development, which is their mandate. HUD is doing their job, Hannity is having a management company handle the deals and details by investing in real estate and is doing what HUD wants to occur, development of housing across the US.

Wasn't White Water a real estate deal that Clintons were involved with that was shady? Clearly you can have crooked real estate deals, would you have brushed that off just a real estate deal back in the day?

But hey, since Hannity is a Fox News star, maybe you think that makes laws not apply to him, laws are not for members of the conservative ruling class like Hannity.

Too be fair, for anyone with common sense, Hannity is about a trust worthy as Darth Vadar. I would be surprised if Hannity was not involved in a crooked real estate deal.

Cohen case highlights Hannity's vast property holdings

Public records show Fox News host Sean Hannity's connections to a group of shell companies that spent $90 million over the past decade to purchase more than 870 properties across the United States, according to a report by The Guardian.

Why it matters: Some of the property purchases were financed utilizing mortgage assistance from the Department of Housing and Urban Development — and Hannity was a vocal supporter of Ben Carson to head the agency without disclosing that connection. These revelations surrounding Hannity's property holdings highlight the ethical issues between his journalistic work and his personal entanglements with the Trump administration.

Oh, how swampy can it get?

I wonder if this was the "real estate" legal advice he received from Cohen? Could be. And if so, could be possible troubles for all involved, knowing Cohen's methodologies.

Thanks for posting!
