(CNN)Keith Davidson, the lawyer at the center of agreements with two women paid to keep silent about alleged affairs from more than a decade ago with Donald Trump, is cooperating with the probe into the President's personal lawyer Michael Cohen, Davidson's spokesman said Friday.

"Mr. Davidson has been contacted by the federal authorities regarding the Michael Cohen probe in the Southern District of New York. Mr. Davidson was asked to provide certain limited electronic information. He has done so and will continue to cooperate to the fullest extent possible under the law," Davidson spokesman Dave Wedge said in a statement to CNN.

This article and video help demonstrate why some of us believe Michael Cohen is facing certain indictment.

Several of the three women that have come forward so far (Stormy & Karen), claim that the subject lawyer in the title - Keith Davidson - sold them out. They claim unbeknowst to them at the time, that Davidson was in cahoots with Trump & his lawyer, acting in Trump's best interests rather than theirs. In fact, in the video it appears there are at least six suspicious cases where Davidson ended-up with Cohen in these specific types of Trump related cases.

In addition, on CNN last night one of the legal guests claimed that Avenatti is not making hollow claims when he insists Cohen will be indicted within 90 days, but rather Avenatti knows this via interaction with the feds. The guest was coy about this of course, but a light-bulb went off in my head:

--> If Davidson is cooperating with the feds, Avenatti surely is as well!

I suspect by the nature of his cooperation, including the investigative paths the feds are taking him down, Avenatti may indeed have enough knowledge to put together the backing for his "90 day indictment" claims.

I think we also need to keep in mind, that WaPo reported Keith Davidson's lawyer claims Davidson never consented to being taped by Micheal Cohen. In addition, CNN claims the feds are in possession of the Cohen-Davidson tapes through their recent search warrant! I'll post (in the thread) these two source links as reference, for your perusal.

Also as an aside, I've just watched a cable pundit's hearsay claim that Davidson is supposedly furious with Cohen for his surreptitiously taping him.

So, it seems to me none of the above is good for Mr. Cohen. I suspect Micheal Cohen is in some really deep doo, here.

I expect Davidson is toast. I am going to state without a doubt he was not looking out for the interests of his clients. The chance he was randomly chosen by the two woman are zero. So he was most likely either recommended by Cohen or given the two womens name by Cohen so he can contact them. Bank statements will be interesting to see if Davidson got extra payments from Trump or Cohen

So, I guess it's President Trump's fault that Daniels and McDougal had a ****ty lawyer?

!

That may have to be the worst conflict of interest I've ever heard of. If that's the case, then hello disbarment (at least).

And in many cases anger is really fear, deep down. Sounds like he should be very very afraid.

He’ll probably get disbarred but might not face any criminal charges given his cooperation.

If you use an attorney-client relationship with one client to sabotage an attorney-client relationship with another, yeah, you're toast. And if you're not toast, your state's BBO should be replaced.

If he and Cohen paid of that lawyer to poorly represent the two women yes.

Or, Davidson has evidence that Daniels and McDougal were trying to blackmail President Trump.

That's a leap...lol.

If Daniels and McDougal hired a lawyer that Cohen recommended, then they're stupid...lol

If he received compensation to promote Trumps interests over that of his clients, I expect that is fraud and potentially criminal in nature

Yes they would be. But why would Cohen recommend the same attorney twice. Why would the attorney not try for vastly more money when a larger payout could get the lawyer more money. I expect Davidson was more interested in Trumps outcome than that of his clients

You don't know that that even happened. Davidson might have exculpatory evidence that clears Cohen.

That is possible but as likely as our sun going super nova tomorrow

I know people are saying that this case will lead Trump flipping on Cohen, but for now I just don't see it. Unless the state gets involved in some way, the charges are going to be federal, which Trump can immunize Cohen from via pardons.

What Trump should concern himself with is whether the NY attorney's office begins digging into other matters relating to the Trump organization, and look for Cohen's testimony to start issuing subpoenas.

I'm telling you, Avenatti is looking like a hero here, and he's one damn sharp cookie.

If we could get Mueller to run for Pres, I'll take Avenatti on the other half of the ticket!

I swear, Cohen looks and acts like an idiot. Not taking Avenatti's offer to take-back the $130K and remove the NDA, but instead escalating the matter to federal court, is likely going to go down as one of the worst attorney decisions in recent history! No different than Trump firing Comey (and consequently getting Mueller appointed) will go down as one of the worst political decisions in recent history! In fact, these two clowns seem to be perfect for each other. The worst of the worst! And criminal as hell ...

And hope that the statute of limitations hasn't expired.

Yes. But while these things continue to get uncovered, they may be getting exposure to state statutes as well.

And as the stories and crimes expand, and the knowledge of them gets disseminated within the body politic, Trump is going to face stronger political resistance to using his pardons.
