James Comey on Donald Trump and the FBI on BBC

Totally agree. He just has it, whatever it is, it's what he has.
Gilmore owes him for pioneering the "dreamy" guitar licks.

Lol yes, as do some others.

And his tone on "Bridge of Sighs" is one of those defining guitar moments that influence other great players and bedroom performers alike.

And the guy still has his chops! Albeit he admits to tuning down because his hands wear out faster now. But still...you'd think he was the same guy from 30 years ago if your couldn't see him.

I've seen Priest, Dio, Maiden, Scorpions, Van Halen (WAY back in 95 when I was kid), Saxon, Satriani, Vai, Malmsteem, and bunch others along the way, but sadly never did get to see Rush.

Now my Dad saw Purple and Rainbow with all their various line-ups, so he was really lucky.

And I love Trower!

I still have the vinyl "Bridge of Sighs" album.

Exactly. Nobody had ever known anything about Comey until "gmailgate" occurred. Now a number character assassination hit pieces are being cited as evidence that Comey is some kind uber-corrupt FBI big wig who made it to the top by lying, cheating, stealing, and trying to control the outcome of the Presidential election from his office in D.C.

It's the classic Trump smear campaign. He's a ****ing slimy asshole without an ounce of integrity.

Trower is a very good show...I saw him in '78 at Joe Louis arena Detroit....Ticket cost me $5

I have seen Trower several times. My ears are still ringing.

It's not for either of us to decide because neither of us has the special power needed to know the truth in these conflicting views. But it is pretty well established that Trump is a chronic liar.

For some reason I find Comey much more credible than Trump.

Nope. I understand why you want it to be, but you're wrong. Take a look at when the IG's investigation started, and at who's request. You'll find it in last year's JD report to Congress.

Do you have a source for this? I cannot find anything on the IG recommending the immediate indictment, arrest, and trial of James Comey.

I see that they recommended that McCabe should be criminally investigated, but nothing that said he should be immediately arrested and put on trial.

I'd like have a look at this thing on Comey you're referring to.

Mea culpa. I confused Comey with McCabe. Last chemo session this morning.

The IG's investigation of Comey hasn't concluded yet. Neither has his investigation of Mueller (unrelated as I understand). Investigations can clear complaints.

Never heard of him, very interesting picking style.

Gilmour was a pallbearer at Michael's premature funeral. Michael was much more than one picking style. His influences on major rock and jazz, as well as new age musicians is impossible to calculate.

Michael once said "I play guitar because it allows me to dream while I am awake." He was far more than a guitarist, and his heart was in R&R, yet his compositions transcended all genres, sub-genres and particular styles.

One night we were both passing through Amarillo for other reasons, recognizing him, hoping to catch a quick lesson, a few tips, I engaged him in conversation. He generously demonstrated answers to my questions for me with a piano in the hotel lounge, telling me if I truly wanted to understand the guitar, I needed to learn the piano. I bought an old piano six weeks later. Now, more than 35 years later, I begin to understand, however minutely, what he meant. 55 years of playing guitar, I am just beginning to understand Michael. That old piano has kept me dreaming while awake during these past two difficult weeks, bringing me to a different plateau when I pickup one of my guitars.
