Inspector general referred findings on McCabe to U.S. attorney for consideration of criminal charges

https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...6fda6b404c7_story.html?utm_term=.76b70e224cd6

The Justice Department inspector general referred its finding that former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe repeatedly misled investigators who were examining a media disclosure to the top federal prosecutor in D.C. to determine whether McCabe should be charged with a crime, according to people familiar with the matter.
If charged it all comes out in open court.

I guess McCabe won't be suing for wrongful termination.

Per a formal Federal prosecutor:

"This doesn’t mean McCabe will be prosecuted, but rather that the US Attorney in DC will review the file and determine if there is a prosecutable case. The IG is acting like any other investigative agency, referring a case, and it would have been a surprise if this wasn’t sent over."

Horowitz wouldn't have referred the case if he didn't think it was solid. I think the US Attorney will find that charges are warranted. Guess McCabe is going to need that money donated to him. I sure am glad I didn't donate any money to this guy.

" Washington (CNN)The Justice Department's inspector general has sent a criminal referral regarding former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe to the US attorney's office in Washington, according to a source familiar with the matter.

A McCabe spokesperson, the Justice Department and US attorney's office all declined to comment."

McCabe is just the beginning. Horrowitz's IG report on the Hillary E-mail investigation is is due next month, and the FISA abuse will be next. McCabe lied under oath, which is illegal, but is nothing compared to what went on prior to the election.

Of-course its prosecutable. McCabe lied under oath. He did the same thing Flynn did, and Flynn was charged

Of course he won't be prosecuted. The fix is in already.

I didn't say it wasn't prosecutable. Joyce Allen was saying that it wouldn't necessarily go on to prosecution as the case will be reviewed first.

Lol....How do you " water down " a thread on a criminal referral ? McCABE LIED under oath, more than once and he will be charged, and he's just the beginning.

Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. The entire process was so perfectly mucked up by Trump's involvement that it's impossible to say that the IG's decision wasn't politicized.

The FBIs OPR's decision to recommend termination and the IGs report were pretty clear. There's a good reason Mccabe was pimping for money to fund his legal bills, and this is why

Allen is right...except the case won't necessarily NOT go on to prosecution.

Me? I think the best McCabe can hope for is a deal that involves bigger fish.

Heck, he and Comey are throwing each other under the bus...and it's all just starting.

Are you still riding that horse? Really?

Trump ? The FBIs own OPR recommended Mccabe's dismissal, and Trump had nothing to do with the IGs report or any of this. Mccabe should be held accountable for lying tot he FBI or under oath like anyone else

Trump isn't involved in this issue...except as a victim.

This is just further proof of Trump's collusion with Russia and penchant for obstructing justice. It's widely known that Trump's people, enabled by their Russian counterparts, infiltrated the FBI, planted fake emails on Podesta's and Clinton's perfectly secure servers and then "discovered" them in the course of the investigation. When Comey and McCabe tried to heroically save the nation by exposing this corruption they were unceremoniously dismissed and their names were dragged through the mud by the absurdly biased GOP propaganda media. Basically, the Koch brothers and the NRA conspired to construct this entire narrative and now their puppets in the FBI and the media are making it look like someone other than Trump was the problem child. America will not fall for this charade!! We will RESIST!!!

Trump bitched endlessly about McCabe, and his primary beef with McCabe was that he would get to retire with full benefits. And voila, McCabe if fired right before he's able to retire with full benefits.

There's a reason why the President traditionally stays out of the affairs of the DOJ. Once he gets his grubby fingers all over it, any trust that the process hasn't been politicized is disintegrated.

Criminal Referral=Nothing

:lamo

McCabe return the 500,000 in donations he received for his legal fund, then. If this is " nothing " and all. He KNEW this was coming, and this is just the beginning. Horrowitz IG report on the Hillary E-mail investigation is going to be released next month

equal justice under the law

Trump had good reason to bitch, and his bitching had no influence on the IGs report or the FBIs OPR and their decision to recommend firing McCabe. McCabe lied under oath multiple times, and he'll be charged for it too

Spare me. Obama presided over the most politicized and corrupt DOJs and FBIs in our Nations history ( and State Depts ) . He even used pseudonyms in e-mails to Hillary Clinton, and was fully aware she wasn't using a State dept E-mail, even though he denied knowing anything about it.

Guess Trump should have kept his dirty little fingers out of the process then.

We've been over this already. None of you can cite a single instance in which Obama ordered his DOJ to go after his political enemies or protect him from legal problems or scandal.
