President Trump on Friday slammed James Comey as an “untruthful slime ball,” as the ex-FBI director's upcoming book and accompanying tour raised anew salacious allegations about Trump first made in an unverified dossier and blasted the president for everything from integrity to his height, skin and hair.

“James Comey is a proven LEAKER & LIAR,” the president tweeted. “Virtually everyone in Washington thought he should be fired for the terrible job he did-until he was, in fact, fired. He leaked CLASSIFIED information, for which he should be prosecuted. He lied to Congress under OATH.”

“His handling of the Crooked Hillary Clinton case, and the events surrounding it, will go down as one of the worst ‘botch jobs’ of history,” Trump said. “It was my great honor to fire James Comey!”

I would not desire to have any POTUS with the temperament Trump has because of the nuclear weapons issue alone

Trump's ego requires constant stroking, he is excessively insecure, has no ability to stick to very important decisions, and he is exponentially prone to impulsive decisions that are typically BAD.

That is exactly the type of madman we do NOT need with nukes.

Why do I have a vision in my head of an overweight 6 year old who took his mommy's iPhone into the potty and whose face was beet red because she won't buy him a pony so he goes into her Twitter account and calls her and his grandparents and his father and his siblings all sorts of names?
 
I understand wanting to defend yourself but hot damn, be professional and call a press conference with a heavily controlled script like any other sane adult. No need for the twitter rampages like the teenage girl he is at heart.

Don't be fooled because Trump may seem like your typical selfish, back-stabbing slut-faced ho-bag. But in reality, he is so much more than that.

There's never a bad reason to call out disgraceful acts by our sitting POTUS. Just because he engages in such acts regularly doesn't mean we should effectively normalize them by ignoring the latest shaming of the office by Trump.

I don't consider calling POTUS out for disgracing the office as a "gotcha fight." And it's possible to talk issues, AND hold POTUS accountable for shameful behavior. His behavior is in part what makes the politics so impossible. He can't attract good people to work in the WH in part because of stuff like this - they are shamed by working for such a person. He can't be trusted to keep his word, which makes issues difficult to resolve. Etc.

Point is this kind of shameful behavior does matter. We shouldn't as a country ever normalize it by ignoring it.

but there is the rub; the right/conservatives/evangelicals/GOP all have made this normal & acceptable, and they are ignoring it
 
Even CNN was not especially complimentary about the book, saying it sometimes focused on personal details that were unimportant...altho I do believe they create a picture...artificiality & vanity are character traits.

But we'll see how his observations and memos compare to other statements from people and also to "The Fire and the Fury." It's very easy to confirm a great deal of what's in that book from reality, Trump's own words and behavior, and other's close to him that have made statements (and leaks).
