James Comey: Republican website trashes 'lyin' FBI memoir

All presidents lie. Were you this upset when Clinton lied under oath? There's a pretty good case against Comey for lying to congress while under oath as well. Has Trump lied while under oath? I know you are hoping he will, but I will reiterate once again, my point. Presidents lie.

I wasn't happy about Clinton lying under oath. But there you go again trying to push the narrative that All lies are equal. They are not.

Oh, noes. You also don't know what an ad hominem attack is. You need some more practice before you participate in a debate forum. As a much needed reminder, blaming only one of two of the constructed political parties simply perpetuates the problems you tried to describe.

Does my experience for ten years on another political forum count? You don't read so well. IMO, you're full of ad hominem and not much else.
Oh, and if I needed your advice, I would have asked. Now go pester someone else.

:2wave: CYA!

Show me the evidence that Trump told Comey that.

I did. But because it didn't come from Trump's mouth or video displayed on fox news you won't believe it.

No, it is you who is trying to push a false narrative. You've made a bad attempt to speak for me. I never hinted at the idea that all lies are equal. But when a president lies under oath it's much worse than another who lies while not under oath. Again, my original point was that presidents lie. Instead of building a wall of straw, try refuting what I actually wrote.

Sorry, but you're new here, and you have no idea what I "hope". The people who have posted with me for years know what I think.

The site isn't Trump's. It's the RNC's. Try to keep up with what's being discussed.

I am on topic. I am discussing what you wrote reposted below. And your assumption that Trump has destroyed the GOP is the topic. Presidents don't destroy parties. Parties destroy themselves. IMO, both parties are in shambles, the primary reason Trump was elected.

No, I don't know have the crystal ball on what you hope, and that is why I prefaced my statement by saying, it sounds like you are hoping the Republican party will be destroyed by Trump. My interpretation of what you write points to some serious disgust of the present GOP and this president and IMO wishful thinking that your prediction will come true. Btw, you have NO clue if your prediction is going to come true. Hence, you HOPE it will come true.
So let's quickly review the post below to which I replied....

I'll be crying because I predicted the election of Trump was going to destroy the party I joined in June of 1980 and whose candidates I supported in every single election since then, except for the top of the 2016 ticket (Trump). My prediction is coming true.

The Republican Party is in for some serious **** in November, and the retirement of Paul Ryan is just one more bad thing on top of the already bad things. Why they believe this ignorant website effort is going to help them is beyond me. Starting a website about the former Director of the FBI and assigning said URL the annoying childish nickname that the annoying childish unpopular President calls him is absolutely the worst thing they could do right now. This reduces them to the immature level of the President. What exactly is it that they haven't learned in the last 15 months??

Yeah, so, you didn't address any of the substance of any of my posts, but your defensiveness is more instructive than it is obvious. If you want to contribute to a solution to a problem, focus on the problem and not the people sitting in the room with you. You post rambling partisan nonsense and nothing else.

CYA! <childish smiley face thing that you might understand>

Let's try this again.

You're new, and you don't know what I hope for the future of the Republican Party. The people who have posted with me for years do know. Unlike the President of the United States, I am and have always been a Republican.

I predicted that his Presidency would end the Republican Party, and my prediction is coming true.

How you got that I hope the Republican Party will be destroyed because of him is beyond me. You and the other Trump devotees wanted him to destroy the GOP. The big bad ugly establishment. You got your wish. Congratulations. You are now the official party of Trump.

So spare me your idiotic claims of what I hope, and go back to placing your lips on Donald Trump's read end.

Is it worse to lie about a blow job or to lie to obstruct an investigation into Russian election meddling?

Take your time.

James Comey is this months Stormy Daniels. The hysterical left will use him now as their latest weapon to take down Trump. When this fizzles, like all the others did, they’ll move on to the next one.

The thing is, with Trump you can definitely count on the "next one". :D

It's almost hard to just pick one.

In case you haven't seen a news source today, Stormy Daniels is far from used.

Nope, that's not going away any time soon.

the impact on the polls has come in gone. The left's attempts to keep it in the news remain strong. Everyone else has moved on. Just letting you know what's happening in reality.

He took an oath to uphold the Constitution from enemies. He let Hillary go, with plenty of evidence to charge her. He lied, he broke his oath.

Why is it when numerous posters ask you to share the lie you completely ignore us.

What was his lie?

Thank you, I will read that directly. I enjoy politico pieces.

I predicted a year ago after his first one that Trump would have no more press conferences. Unless I missed it, that prediction holds true. As the link shows, probably no need. (Actually, it might make sense for him to do so now, as there are so many issues to cover that the press would be at a disadvantage.)

Sadly, Trump is a dangerous combination of ignorance and arrogance, each unfortunate, but together dangerous. To say nothing of the "powahful odor of mendahcity" that surrounds his utterances-- see Burl Ives and a great cast in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof." But as enviornmental standards are trashed and workers get screwed by his cabinet, he remains the useful distracting shiny object, the Times Square hustler of years ago selling you the gen-u-wine Rolex for $50.

Charge her with what? And what lie?

Oh, about that reality thing:

Gallup Daily: Trump Job Approval

Awesome job on the polls!

I'll start worrying about Trump's poll numbers when the democrats field a 2020 Presidential candidate who isn't a god d*mn joke with no chance to win. Unless you would like to name that candidate for me now. but we both know you won't.

Everyone's dug in, the polls of Republicans who distrust the FBI are disheartening. just look at the forum posters who swallowed whole the narrative that Comey is a corrupt agent of the deep state.

The same people who thought he was going to drain the swamp.

Owl, I've seen & heard him lie with my own eyes & ears. Your claims are beyond ridiculous.

Chomsky you know I really like and respect you at risk of ruining your reputation by me saying so. But I believe in this case you believe he is lying mostly because you dislike him and want him to be lying. I pride myself on reading tone, inflection, body language, and am pretty good at identifying lies when I hear them. I do miss now and then, but. . .

Misspeaking is not lying. Changing your mind is not lying. Thinking out loud is not lying.

It's kind of like you saying you sided with the jury on the Scooter Libby thread. If you really sided with the jury, you wouldn't see Libby as guilty of any kind of crime. If I was somebody who disliked you intensely, and was intellectually dishonest, I could easily have accused you of lying about what the jury's position was. I know better and know you weren't in any way intending to lie about that.

And my prayers for the President are for people to understand what he is actually saying and not make so many hateful assumptions about what he is saying.
