In new book, Comey says Trump 'untethered to truth'

There's a reason Comey was fired and there's a reason why every person that served around him in the FBI has either been forced to retire, been fired, re-assigned suddenly to the basement.

Comey can have his say on ABC with Stephanopoulos to sell his book but mark my word law enforcement will be listening to every word. And so will a lot of other people who think he is a dirty cop who likes to portray himself as a boy scout. He already lied to Congress more than once in his testimony. He leaked classified material.

The way Trump fired Comey was outrageous. But that doesn't change the fact that he isn't trustworthy.

Maybe I'll even buy it. The only politician-written books I have are:

1. "Dreams of my father", given to me by a family member, which is sitting in a box somewhere in the Basement.

2. "Duty" (Robert M. Gates), which is somewhere between 1-100 on the reading list.

I don't have that Wolff book since I'm not particularly keen on something with the disclaimer that the author is generally basing everything on a comparison of what everyone says to him, not necessarily verifiable fact, and even tells you a bunch of it might be BS. But Comey? If Trump fired Comey despite his damaging announcement about the Hillary investigation, just before the election, then Comey can't be that bad.

First the Trump haters believe him (he let Hillary off the hook), then they don't believe him (he put her back on the hook), then they believe him (he goes against the President).

Throughout all of it, Comey has proven himself to be a liar but that doesn't matter to the Trump haters as long as his lies help them.

I did not vote for Trump. However, unlike you, I am not invested in defending Comey's integrity nor will I dignify your petty personal attacks.

It very well could be that both Trump and Comey are lying con men. It wouldn't be the first time two con men got into a fight.

I think it's pretty hilarious and pathetic the RNC is so worried about what Comey might say that they've pre-emptively started a website to engage in ad hominem attacks on the guy. :lol:
