Lordy, there may be tapes.

President Trump’s personal attorney Michael D. Cohen sometimes taped conversations with associates, according to three people familiar with his practice, and allies of the president are worried that the recordings were seized by federal investigators in a raid of Cohen’s office and residences this week.

Legal experts said Cohen’s taped conversations would be viewed by prosecutors as highly valuable.

Cohen wanted his business calls on tape so he could use them later as leverage, one person said. He frequently noted that under New York law, only one party had to consent to the taping of a conversation, this person added.

During the 2016 race, Cohen — who did not have a formal role on the campaign — had a reputation among campaign staff as someone to avoid, in part because he was believed to be secretly taping conversations.

Any tapes that do not fall under the attorney-client privilege would be seen as a treasure trove for investigators.

follow the (funny) money

I have been in plenty of attorney's offices & been informed, "this is being recorded" so, it's not uncommon IMO

I hope Trump is worried; maybe he will have some kind of medical episode like a giant turd exiting his mouth

Tapes and Trump, tapes and Trump, where have those two things come together hilariously...

As long as the tape doesn’t have Cohen himself talking about committing a crime then they aren’t admissible. But if it does...

Cohen is trumps mini trump. I wouldn’t doubt there are treasure troves. Remember Cohen was fully cooperating which means he is waiting to see what will end up being federal or state charges. If all are federal, he’ll try on trump pardoning him. If they are state, he’ll sing like a bird if there is prison time associated with it.

There will be state charges for sure, since it was SDNY that seized the evidence.

It depends on if they are fines or prison time. Trump will cover any fines some how.

Trump exiting from his own mouth would be quite a feat. I'd pay to see that.
