Besides, the longer it keeps dripping, the more likely Trump is to take some new action that counts towards obstruction. Poetic justice demands he take himself down if he hasn't already.

On MSNBC this evening Ari Melber interviewed Jay Goldberg, Trump's lawyer up until 2005. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jay_Goldberg. He said that he believed the bank fraud part of the search warrant relates to Cohen having lied on his application for a HELOC loan. If he had stated that the money was going to be used as hush money, the bank wouldn't have granted the loan. Instead he may have written that it was for home improvement. But he used the money to silence Stormy, which is bank fraud under NY State banking laws:


New York Penal Code Article 187:

"Residential mortgage fraud" is committed by a person who,
knowingly and with intent to defraud, presents, causes to be presented,
or prepares with knowledge or belief that it will be used in soliciting
an applicant for, applying for, underwriting or closing a residential
mortgage loan, or filing with a county clerk of any county in the state
arising out of and related to the closing of a residential mortgage
loan, any written statement which:
(a) contains materially false information concerning any fact material
thereto; or
(b) conceals, for the purpose of misleading, information concerning
any fact material thereto.





Which is a felony to which Federal pardons would not apply.

I believe they have documentary evidence that he committed felony bank fraud in NY State, to which Federal pardons do not apply.

Cohen's going first, for NY State felony bank fraud. See my posts in this thread & in the Cohen/FBI thread posted last night. They will, of course, try to flip Cohen on Trump as he was his fixer who knows where all the skeletons are buried.

It's too late for Trump to fire Mueller because the Federal A/G in southern NY has the case here that will bring down the whole house of cards.

I heard that the law firm he was working at "just happens to be" the law firm also employed by Cambridge Analytica.
I'm trying to search down confirmation on that but if so, that might be another "damn good reason" why warrants were cheerfully issued.
