Trump's homeland security adviser Bossert resigns

haha, that's cute .........

just look at the positives and you wont be so sad all the time. thats how america got over the last president and the one before that. youll be fine.

Since inauguration, fully 50% of White House staff and Cabinet members have quit, resigned, or have been cowardly fired on Twitter.

Unprecedented in US history.

Bossert is still a relatively young man by DC standards (43). The longer he stays in this toxic work environment, that even Republicans criticize from time to time, the more opportunities he misses. I wouldn't say he's a rat jumping the ship, as he seems to be one of the few people Trump has hired who are qualified to work at an administration, but it is a shame that Trump would rather work to hire guys like Bolton.

Good. Anyone who stays in that **** house of an administration is ensured of no future except for a caddy at one of Trump's golf properties, or wiping the drool off Sean Hannity's chin.

Things Trump is really bad at:
1. Team Building. He has no demonstrable command of this ability.
2. Recruiting well qualified team members. Very few top-shelf people want to wade into the toxic sludge that is the Trump White House.
3. Creating a healthy work environment. See points 1 and 2. Few people can survive under the boot heel of a malignant narcissist.
4. Retention of well qualified team members. Points 1, 2, and 3 inevitably result in dissent, resignations, and terminations. The list of well qualified White House personnel shrink monthly, if not weekly.
5. Leadership. If he was a good leader, points 1 through 4 would be non-existent.

The hits just keep on comin'.

I'm thinking there is now one less leaker hanging around the Trump WH. One less "official".

The headline says he resigned, however, he was essentially fired. Michael Bolton needs to bring in his people.

Agreed, long note crooning is frightfully absent within the Dep't of Homeland Security.

Perhaps he could get Pavarotti to come on board and do a number or two.

Full disclosure...I've met Michael Bolton a few times....He used to be pretty arrogant but the last few years he has mellowed and has a decent sense of humor about himself ...He's make a fine Homeland Security Chief compared to the tools trump is bringing in

Of course that's why he's gone. He was a "leaker" or some other kind of nefarious traitor.

He likes Bolton because he sees a lot of him on Fox.

in trump world "resigns" means he was fired....

I see John Bolton's fingerprints on this. Bolton didn't need competition to capture The Donald's ear.

If by "resigned" you mean that Bolton walked in on Monday and handed Bossert a cardboard box to pack while Bolton's hand-picked replacement watched, then yeah... he resigned.

Normally I'd find the firing or resignation of any of Trump's dream team to be a cause for laughter. However given that he actually picked someone who was qualified and has replaced them a new crew of benchwarmers who have never had real power because they looked too crazy to the rest of us, I am not sure we should be in a celebratory mood.

Bolton is the guy who hid information that could have shot down his talking points about the Iraq war from Colin Powell. That should have automatically disqualified him from any position in any administration but instead he went on FOX news and reinvented himself as a media personality who was just giving opinions. I do not trust men who have such abrupt career changes so late in their lives.

In other words, Bolton is bad juju.

Sent from a memo written by Nunes and edited by Trump.

You're preaching to the choir here. Bolton is the worst possible choice. A year ago, I didn't think things could possibly get worse; and then, they did.

Tell me how am I supposed to live without you
Now that I've been lovin' you so long
How am I supposed to live without you
How am I supposed to carry on
When all that I've been livin 'for is gone
