Berlin police arrest six over 'city-endangering' plot - BBC News

German police have foiled an alleged plot to attack Sunday's half-marathon in Berlin.

They said six men were arrested over plans to carry out a "violent crime". Die Welt newspaper says one man detained planned to mount a deadly knife attack on participants and spectators.

LOL if that is enough to scare you, then I guess you are boxed into your own home? The US is far more violent than Germany.

Not in my town. Quiet, fairly well-to-do county seat with no non-caucasians. Only crime is the occasional assault. Mostly retired people. Very safe, very quiet.

Seriously the US is dramatically more dangerous than Germany and Europe in general. You skipped over a few dozen homicide and mass shooting articles for the US to find a foiled terror plot in Germany. Recently nearly 600 people were shot down by a single terrorist in the US.

You should be thinking of vacationing in Germany to get away from the uncontrolled violence of your home land.

I spent most of my career in the chemical industry working for a big French company HQed in Paris, so I've spent many weeks in that city. But the terror attacks there in recent years would not make it The City of Light for me any more.

Paris could have a hundred terrorist attacks a year and still be statistically way safer than the US. You ignore the danger near you and worry about the perceived danger on the other side of the world.

Also the thread was about Germany, not Paris. You realize these are two separate things right? Is Las Vegas on your no-go zone after the terrorist attack killing 600 people? Or NYC because of the 3,000 people who died from terrorists?

Two people were hit by a car in Germany and suddenly the entire country is a dangerous war zone in your fantasies. :roll:

Terrorists don't need an ideology, they only need to instill fear in the public through violence. Rest assured if his name was Ahmed and wasn't some white guy you wouldn't be bending over backwards to defend a mass murdering terrorist and you'd call him as such. You're trying to distract from the thread topic, which is how much more dramatically dangerous the US is over Europe.

Tldr summary : right wing whites can be terrorists too and are in fact responsible for the vast majority of terrorist attacks in the US.

Wow, there's a lot of knee jerk going on here lately. I merely asked you to enlighten me as to the ideology of the gun man, since without one, he's just another lunatic public mass shooter. Like Roger Eliot, the Virginia Tech shooter, and the woman who shot up the YouTube campus last week.

Especially when you take it upon yourself to decide that the LV shooter was one. Heck, that's neat, considering the FBI and Homeland Security couldn't even find that out about him. I jest knowed he was a Trump supporter....even though he killed people who were mostly Trump supporters.
