You're wrong.
First, they were released to the authorities and would be made available to any/all proper participants in the legal proceedings (jury, prosecution, defense, judge, etc.)

Second, some was indeed released to the public, meaning you're factually incorrect:
Release documented:
Surveillance videos of Parkland school shooting released | Miami Herald
Release ordered prior to that:
Judge orders release of Parkland school shooting video | Miami Herald

Reasons cited were that the footage would interfere with the ongoing investigations (both into Cruz and into the officer conduct on the scene)
The school argued it would reveal their security coverage.
Both were overruled by a judge.

All I've heard is that he would plead guilty if the death penalty was taken off the table. It's a plea bargain that isn't going to happen and he is pleading not guilty.

Prior to the trial the general public is not privy to the evidence, only the defense team.

Me, I think he's guilty and it shall be proven in court.

I had to admit that was my first thought too. A few years back I decided to change my look so I shaved my head. Something odd occurred. The day it happened I didn't change anything else women starting hitting on me talking to me asking me out. As you may or may not know I'm not interested in women, so I never shaved my head again. The attention from women ebbed. I couldn't figure it out. Some years later I was talking to a very close friends wife about it and she says it's because I looked dangerous.

I'm not going to say all women like this kind of guy cuz certainly that's not true but there are some that you do more than people would expect.

We saw ballistics forensic work in the Las Vegas case, but it wasn't done by the cops because it destroyed the official story. It was done by Michael Adams on a Sunday afternoon at his own house, scrounging material from the internet. But the cops did no ballistics analysis because it wiped out their case.

Neither have they done any at Parkland, for the very same reason.

I am begging you DB, please show me the ballistics analysis of which you are so certain. I want to share your faith, but I'm not holding my breath.

I've already addressed the "confession" issue, and have not yet read all the replies, but FYI, court records are full of examples of people who have confessed to crimes they have not committed. If I missed you earlier, check out the Central Park Five. There have been documentaries made about it.

Sorry friend, your link to the Miami Herald clearly states the video is from outside the school. In case you didn't realize it, the shooting took place INSIDE the school.

If you wander over to the CT section here, you will be able to watch video from one of the teachers who was there. She saw the shooter, and he was clad in military garb including a face mask, rather as the shooters in San Bernardino were clad, facts which bored Scott Pelley. He preferred to regurgitate what "the authorities told us" rather than what witnesses to the crime said.

Trouble is, the record of government deception of the court began in 1953 with U.S. v. Reynolds 345US1, and I've known about that fraud since 2003 while you still don't know about it.

Also, as I've already informed you, all video from each of the 26 cameras has been released to the authorities, who are currently investigating. That it has not been released to the public is routine and proper.

Yeah, I remember as a teenager, desperate for SOME attention from the opposite sex, seeing these really messed up, drugged up, criminal, downright psychotic guys with anger management issues, with tons of girls crawling all over them- and there I was, just a regular, dare I say nice, guy, with nothing to show for it. The girls weren't giving me the time of day. Treating me like I was the furniture or something. It's crazy. Nice guys always finish last, it seems.

Yeah, it's a known phenomenon. Not likely to improve soon in light of social media's/MSM's permanent hysteria and what seem sliek increasing social pressures on people.

Consider the upsides (from the fan's perspective):

You attach yourself to a national a story, even if only peripherally.

You have a broken "boyfriend" to care for, and who will value your attention (if only for purely selfish reasons.)

You are relieved of the social pressure to seek a real relationship (because you have this relationship.)

You are free from the stresses of physical intimacy, since this guy isn't likely to be free any time soon.

To people for whom the above are positives, what's the downside?

On a side note, I've heard horror stories about when these guys DO get out, and want to meet their "girlfriend" IRL.

You see - if you are upset because you can't get laid, all you have to do is kill a bunch of kids and you will have tons of chances to get laid.

This Sun-Sentinal article does nothing but encourage some other loser who is upset about the fact that the can't get laid to go out and kill more kids.

This is a prime example of "glorification of violence" and neither "MORE Guns" nor "LESS Guns" is the answer to it.

I already told you twice that they have released the INSIDE the school footage to the authorities, who are conducting an investigation into the officers on the scene's conduct.

As to why they have not given it to the public, again, it's an ongoing investigation. If they release that, the public draws its own conclusions about the officers behavior, and it can affect the investigation and/or trial.
I'm also not sure what polices/rules govern the release of a video showing minors being massacred to the general public. I would personally not want that out in the public. Let the jury, the defense, and prosecution, and judge see it. I just don't see the need for the public to get their jollies off in seeing it.

Kudos for taking correction, it's rare!

I don't believe the line that "there is an ongoing investigation" is a valid reason for not releasing the video. They had all the answers that day--Cruz did it. What's left to investigate?

As with the case in Sacramento last month, when the cops have video evidence that proves their story, they release it, IMMEDIATELY. That's how they roll.

What we have is yet another cover-up, just like Vegas, Sandy Hook, San Bernardino, Orlando and others.

The judge shot down the school's desire to withhold it based on revealing their security coverage.
The judge agreed they can withhold it pending the conclusion of the investigation.

That you don't believe what is a judge's decision, I sympathize, but it's a judge giving oversight, and there is no reason to suspect the judge is somehow compromised.

What are they covering up? They may try to cover up the officer's behavior..but why would you suggest they are covering up the shooter's identity, given all the other evidence, witnesses, etc.? It just makes no sense.

In a case like this, there is absolutely no reason to take the death penalty off the table.

If he is found to have "done the deed" and is also found to be "sane" then, since there is not any possibility of a "wrongful conviction", the world will be well rid of him (and this coming from a person who does NOT "support the death penalty" in the sense that most people use the phrase). To keep him alive in that case only validates his conviction that the way to get laid is to kill people and encourages others to do the same.

If he is found to have "done the deed" and is also found NOT to be "sane" then I think that the appropriate thing to do is to provide him with long-term, secure, residential, psychiatric treatment until such time as the treating doctors are prepared to volunteer to accept an equal penalty to any which might be imposed on him for any crime of violence after he is released on their "certification" that he is "cured".

Yep, and he's not going to until the prosecution tells him that he can have the rest of his natural life to attract women who think that he's "special" - which he wasn't able to do before he slaughtered a bunch of innocent kids.
