WASHINGTON — White House officials have been looking into whether $500 million in loans that went to Trump administration senior adviser Jared Kushner's family real estate company may have spurred ethics or criminal law violations, according to the head of the federal government's ethics agency.

David J. Apol, acting director of the Office of Government Ethics, said in a letter sent late last week to Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi that the White House Counsel's office told him that officials were probing the loans to Kushner Cos. and whether "additional procedures are necessary to avoid violations in the future."

White House officials are looking into apparently corrupt bribes made to the President's son-in-law? How about the FBI or DOJ? This is like the fox investigating why chickens are missing from the hen house.

And 'additional procedures'? Why not just kick his a** out?

...and we had to hear throughout the 2016 campaign (and after) how the Clinton's were corrupt. Wow, Trump is certainly the master of projection. Pity that so many Americans bought the head fake.

We have never had a White House team so blatantly out for themselves without regard for America itself.

Kushner lawyer: WH counsel has concluded no issues involving Jared amid loan probe

Well, everyone knows the White House Counsel's office is a bastion of ethical integrity

:rofl

Well, that's it then - right.

Oh, and just to be on the safe side, why not issue pardons as well. I don't think that there is any legal requirement that a pardon actually be announced when it is granted and you can make an argument (under the "Privacy Laws") that if the person who has been pardoned does not want the fact that they have been pardoned to be announced then it shouldn't be announced.

Yup. He's automatically guilty. Throw him straight in jail, no trial, no jury. And they should use the evidence provided by the Times as justification to arrest him immediately. What the hell are they *****footing around for??

A person who is pardoned must officially accept the pardon, and if you think a presidential pardon can remain a secret, well, that's just cra.

Let's not go to the other extreme...... there is reasonable basis to think the allegations might be true. However, to your point, there has been no trial so we can not assume its true. We are simply at the dead body in the Conservatory with a knife and Mr. Green stage.

Isn't that a bit like the fox investigating who stole the hens?
