So a high-level Trump campaign adviser (and long-time Trump associate), was found to be communicating with the "Russian military intelligence officer" that hacked Hillary & the DNC.

Yeah, I very much see a problem here.

I'd want to know if he was still on the campaign, while communicating with the Ruskie?

I don't want to get down in that dirt but let's just say that it usually boils down to whose ox is being gored. If this was all about infrastructure only, and THEY woke up to a fully "Puerto-Rico'ed" electrical grid with no promise of lights on for six months, courtesy of Guccifer and his borscht eating shirtless boss, you'd be hearing a different tune from them in short order.
Otherwise, it's not even real to them.

Note: The above is not out of the realm of possibility.

What is it exactly that has so compromised Trump with Russia that he flirts with treason and betraying the American people? This must be discovered and he must removed from office ASAP.

The big loser in this news is Roger Stone who glib and easy way with words now only shows him to have been lying and stonewalling to hide his own treason.

We could only hope. However, the soft peddling of Russia will continue on I imagine, as Trumps stubbornness and ego will only be further goaded by this. It most certainly is not an "act of war" (The DNC is not a government institution, and disrupting an election is a diplomatic, not militaristic, endeavor imho). However, it warrants action none the less.
