Why has fox news analyst lt. Col. Ralph peters left the ‘propaganda machine’?

Nope, MY POINT, actually was fox and MSNBC and some other orgs suck, and have sucked for a while so i wonder why now and what crossed the line for this guy and this story

You seen my comment, ignored the point or couldn't comprehend it, focused on MSNBC for some reason, even though you claim your hardly watch LMAO and now want to derail or have a different conversation. Like i said, good luck to you when you start that thread!

discuss the topic, move on or simply have your derail ignored :2wave:

J, I understood your point perfectly. You started a thread that gives us more proof that fox news is a lying propaganda outlet. For some reason you also gave us your opinion of MSNBC. I asked you to elaborate. You were kind enough to repeat your opinion but didnt elaborate. You're concern for "derailing a thread" is admirable but I'm simply asking you to elaborate something you posted.

Lol !! Thats is so ****ing stupid

Yea, Fox forced him to call Obama a " total ***** " and then suspended him for 2 weeks for saying it...

Perhaps he sees that Trump is far WORSE than Obama. Many Conservatives are coming to that conclusion. It's one thing to feed the "base" and another to cover-up for a traitor. Perhaps he got a conscience.

Fox probably made him say that, (which you were thrilled no doubt) but he has had enough...He needs to write a book on those lying assholes

Fox only had a problem with the word "pussy" after Trump was caught using it to describe women's private parts and his opponent Ted Cruz. Then that word was okay by Fox.

You keep proving the fact you did not, Since you are still confused read them slower this time, if this doesnt help you with your problem nothing will. Good luck on your thread!

Well IMO fox is worse but they are both turds. I have no interest in debating which turd smells the worse. LMAO for me its fox if you feel otherwise you are free to do so, if the topic interest you that much you can also start your own thread about that topic. you claim to not watch MSNBC but you seem bothered by me ranking it in the basement, thats odd. Good luck on your thread!

He was suspended from Fox back in 2015 for calling Obama a " total ***** ", but is leaving Fox because its turned into a " propaganda machine " ?
Plueeze

well fenton if you are unable to understand the difference between a conservative veteran being angry at not getting the "lets go get em" speech he wanted and being handed a script for what to say to undermine America then I cant help you. the good news is you cant delude yourself he's part of Obama's deep state cabal..........unless he did that in 2015 knowing full well it would give him the credibility he needed to attack FREEEEEEEDOOOOOOOMMMMMMM.

I've underestimated you fenton, you smelled a rat in 2015. His Obama rant is right up there with Obama's real parents knowing to call in the birth announcements to the Honolulu papers from kenya. these deep state provocateurs are crafty.

Report said he worked there for 10 years....He must have all kinds of inside info on those lying assholes...He should write a book

While expose' is not a forte of the retired Ltc Ralph Peters he is the author of 40 books. Most of 'em are about intelligence and national security and have won numerous literary awards. Peters began his military career as an enlisted infantry soldier and spent his last ten years in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence specializing in Russia.

Ltc Peter's most quoted quote: "Make no mistake: the anti-war voices long for us to lose any war they cannot prevent." It's a snappy quote for sure but Peters seems to ignore the likes of Rumsfeld, Cheney, GW, Wolfowitz et al who started a war in Iraq they had no idea of. Operation Desert Disaster I call it. Peters is anyway a grad of Army Command and General Staff College where they study stuff well beyond OCS. He enlisted after he graduated Penn State.

Three samples of his writing work....

Lines of Fire: A Renegade Writes on Strategy, Intelligence, and Security

Beyond Terror: Strategy in a Changing World

Judgment at Appomattox: A Novel

Peter's new most quotable quote....

“As a Russia analyst for many years, it also has appalled me that hosts who made their reputations as super-patriots and who, justifiably, savaged President Obama for his duplicitous folly with Putin, now advance Putin’s agenda by making light of Russian penetration of our elections and the Trump campaign. Despite increasingly pathetic denials, it turns out that the “nothing-burger” has been covered with Russian dressing all along. And by the way: As an intelligence professional, I can tell you that the Steele dossier rings true — that’s how the Russians do things. The result is that we have an American president who is terrified of his counterpart in Moscow.”

From the Office of Better Late Than Never....

The Ltc gave his opinions on national security and military issues while at Faux. And while Peters disapproved strongly of Obama, he drew the line at Trump and at what I call Trump's American born Russophiles. So maybe I'll have a look at one of Peters other novels, Traitor.

Hard to say on that...The folks at Fox are lying assholes.....I can say that with certainty

LMAO nice picture

It's a killer ain't it. Everyone rushed over to see why I had gone flat howling. The owner had to step over the bodies. One guy pissed his pants. By the time EMT arrived they said they'd never seen anything like it.

Right whinge soup du jour, touts les jours.

Dishwater ain't strong enough for 'em any more.

Ltc Peters no doubt has his understanding of the military officer oath. And Peters has his own political views which he self-categorizes as "independent." There is no reason for anyone to believe he has violated the officer oath, or that Ltc retired Peters has ignored it...

"Four decades ago, I took an oath as a newly commissioned officer," he said in an email. "I swore to 'support and defend the Constitution,' and that oath did not expire when I took off my uniform."

There is the common understanding that the officer oath continues to apply to the retired officers, i.e., the career types who have been awarded a pension. The accurate point's been made here that a retired officer is subject to immediate recall to active duty on orders. Yes, a retired officer receiving a pension is still an officer -- he's retired, that's all. While the UCMJ does not apply in retirement, the code of being an officer and a gentleman does continue to apply. While Flynn didn't get locked up for leading the convention rant, he was called on the carpet for it by the retired Admiral Mike Mullen who is former chairman JCS and before that was chief of Naval operations. Mullen not only called Flynn after the rant, Mullen had not attended the three-star Flynn's retirement ceremony.

Lieutenant-Colonel Peters is a retired field grade officer rather than a retired general (flag) officer so he's not held to the same or similar standards as Flynn is. Peters nonetheless retains forever his officer education in the leadup to being commissioned a 2Lt. The education and philosophy is that Potus is not in the officer oath. No person or office of the government is in the officer oath. The military officer oath is to the Constitution, directly and only. This is how Washington presented it to the Founders who accepted it as such. Washington's clear purpose was to detach the military officers from the CinC. Washington established that the officer corps has the duty and the responsibility to oppose a tyrant should a tyrant win the office of Potus. And that officers be impressed with this code, duty, obligation, and be free to exercise its implementation.

Fast forward to the present. That is, the military officer oath is to the three branches of the government. The oath is to the balance of powers and the system of checks and balances. Each branch of the government has a head of it. Indeed, the officer oath is to the rule of law, not to the rule of any one person. The institutional protection is designed to foil a tyrant exercising the power of the president and commander in chief. The need has never presented itself -- until now. The how of doing it democratically within the framework of the republic the USA is is the task of the present generation of the officers in command across the armed forces. This includes retired officers such as Ltc Peters and General Barry Mcafferty, among numerous others.
