Actress Cynthia Nixon declares she is running for NY governor

Trump doesn't have any experience running this country either & it shows.
His many actions say he knows how to get stuff done, his comportment leaves something to be desired though. Wish he'd stay off Twitter.

That's mostly a no on both fronts, actually.

Very juvenile, very unpresidential. Putin must be laughing his a** off!

Wow. Your question.

Truthfully answered and you get butthurt. Would you like to tell me qualifications you need for her to run? I stated mine.

..and again, I was referring to functional qualifications and not legal ones. You want to try to make it look like you're "Oh so smart" by pointing out something that we all know, so that you can make a truly sad attempt at making it look like I don't know what the legal qualifications are when I was clearly referring to the functional qualifications.

So how about if I phrase the question this way so you don't get all confused:
If you were the person in charge of hiring for this position, would you consider her to be the best person to fill the position?

Now I'm pretty sure that you'll avoid the question with some silliness like "It's not a hired position, it's an elected one and it's The People who do the hiring", but I can hope that just maybe you'll step up and offer a response that rises a bit higher than that...

You might be thinking of Claus Von Bulow who was accused of attempting to murder his wife (she later died anyway). He got the conviction thrown out on appeal and Von Bulow was acquitted when he was retried.

Sounds right. Was that the same lawyer AD who was counsel?

This is going viral this afternoon...

"Former City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, an openly gay supporter of Gov. Andrew Cuomo, called Cynthia Nixon an “unqualified lesbian” a day after the actress announced she’s going to challenge the governor in a primary. In an interview with The Post, Quinn also denounced Nixon for endorsing Bill de Blasio over her in the 2013 Democratic primary for mayor."

Actually I am just flabbergasted you keep trying.

Christine Quinn, when running for the mayoralty, was quietly informed the outer boroughs, all of them, Queens, Kings, Richmond and the Bronx counties would unilaterally vote against her no matter who ran against her. She withdrew from the primaries the next day. Since, she has gained no appointments, no media coverage, no encouragement to run for another office, nothing but being the butt of many jokes. Now she's fodder for more. Her successor Mark-Vivorito is in the same boat.

Gillibrand backs Cuomo.

Good call, Gillibrand.

You gotta keep up. Nixon says she is now strictly lesbian, no more men for her. This is a lesbian vs lesbian melodrama. :)

It doesn't sound like a denial so much as a "context" card.

Either way, it's bizarre.

That being said. I like her progressive politics, but I don't know if she is qualified.

...well that and decades of executive experience, experience leading large organizations, experience putting the right people into the right jobs...

/flush

There has been more chaos, turmoil, scandal, corruption, and turnover in the Trump administration cabinet and staff than any other in this country’s history. So either you are saying this sarcastically, or you are just watching too much Fox News.

I suspect she'll run naked.

She spent virtually her entire time on Sex and the City naked. Much like Lena Dunham, nobody wanted to see it. LOL

I had no idea Trump was responsible for Christine Quinn's uncontrollable big mouth. Thanks for filling me in.

Great piece yesterday at The Week:
Cynthia Nixon can beat Andrew Cuomo

Cuomo's numbers are as bad as Trumps and given the state of the MTA are not likely to get better....he should be easy to beat.....maybe even by an lightly experienced actress.
