Trump Lawyer Calls for End of Mueller Probe

If Trump has nothing to hide, we is he so concerned about the Mueller probe? He should be looking forward to being exonerated instead of spending a lot of time & effort to obstruct Mueller. Oh wait - he did obstruct justice when he asked Comey to drop the Flynn investigation, and again when he fired Comey for not complying.

Obstruction of justice
Obstruction of justice is defined in the omnibus clause of 18 U.S.C. § 1503, which provides that "whoever . . . . corruptly or by threats or force, or by any threatening letter or communication, influences, obstructs, or impedes, or endeavors to influence, obstruct, or impede, the due administration of justice, shall be (guilty of an offense)." Persons are charged under this statute based on allegations that a defendant intended to intefere with an official proceeding, by doing things such as destroying evidence, or intefering with the duties of jurors or court officers.

A person obstructs justice when they have a specific intent to obstruct or interfere with a judicial proceeding. For a person to be convicted of obstructing justice, they must not only have the specific intent to obstruct the proceeding, but the person must know (1) that a proceeding was actually pending at the time; and (2) there must be a nexus between the defendant’s endeavor to obstruct justice and the proceeding, and the defendant must have knowledge of this nexus.

He should get a new lawyer anyway considering the legal jeopardy Dowd has put him in already. Dowd took the fall for writing a tweet saying Trump knew Flynn was under criminal investigation before telling Comey to take it easy on him (and nobody actually believes Dowd wrote that), and if it's true that he wrote it (it isn't), it would make Dowd the worst lawyer on earth. He also publicly discussed defense strategies with Ty Cobb in a restaurant, and now he's just added to Trump's obstruction of justice woes. All that money and Trump can't find one competent lawyer.

When it comes to legal teams, I've heard it said that Mueller is holding a Royal flush and Trump is holding a pair of twos.

Isn't this the lawyer that also said he just opened his own pocket book and paid Stormy Daniels without talking to Trump? The guys looks like he is lying to protect Trump.

No, that's his other genius lawyer, Michael Cohen.
