The Justice Department dealt a stunning blow to former Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe on Friday night, firing him just days before he would have been eligible for a lifetime pension after determining that he lied to investigators reviewing the bureau’s probe of Hillary Clinton’s email server.
"The FBI’s OPR then reviewed the report and underlying documents and issued a disciplinary proposal recommending the dismissal of Mr. McCabe. Both the OIG and FBI OPR reports concluded that Mr. McCabe had made an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lacked candor − including under oath − on multiple occasions.

"The FBI expects every employee to adhere to the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and accountability. As the OPR proposal stated, 'all FBI employees know that lacking candor under oath results in dismissal and that our integrity is our brand.'"

Horowitz determined that McCabe hadn't been forthcoming in regard to the handling of the FBI’s probe into Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state in the Obama administration.

The inspector general’s finding sparked an FBI disciplinary process that recommended McCabe’s firing.

I am really looking forward to whatever else Horowitz has to say in his final report. I think this is just the beginning.

Statement by Attorney General on Firing of FBI's McCabe

After an extensive and fair investigation and according to Department of Justice procedure, the Department’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG) provided its report on allegations of misconduct by Andrew McCabe to the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR).

The FBI’s OPR then reviewed the report and underlying documents and issued a disciplinary proposal recommending the dismissal of Mr. McCabe. Both the OIG and FBI OPR reports concluded that Mr. McCabe had made an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lacked candor − including under oath − on multiple occasions.

The FBI expects every employee to adhere to the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and accountability. As the OPR proposal stated, 'all FBI employees know that lacking candor under oath results in dismissal and that our integrity is our brand.'

Pursuant to Department Order 1202, and based on the report of the Inspector General, the findings of the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility, and the recommendation of the Department’s senior career official, I have terminated the employment of Andrew McCabe effective immediately."

There is most certainly a new Sheriff in town.

Yup, Trump got McCabe fired from the FBI two days before retirement as a punishment for McCabe helping Trump win the election. Seems legit.

Very interesting:

Republicans have also long criticized McCabe for his ties to the Democratic Party — his wife received donations during a failed 2015 Virginia Senate run from a group tied to a Clinton ally, former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe — all while the Clinton email probe was underway.

“How can FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, the man in charge, along with leakin’ James Comey, of the Phony Hillary Clinton investigation (including her 33,000 illegally deleted emails) be given $700,000 for wife’s campaign by Clinton Puppets during investigation?” the president tweeted in December.

“McCabe testified before the committee in December 2017 that no surveillance warrant would have been sought from the [FISA court] without the Steele dossier information,” the memo read. The Steele dossier was unverified, and financed as opposition research by the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign.

And recently uncovered text messages between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page revealed a new timeline in the Clinton email probe, apparently showing McCabe’s knowledge of the investigation.

The text messages suggest that as of Sept. 28, 2016, Strzok, Page and McCabe were aware of new Clinton emails found on the laptop of disgraced former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner, spouse of Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin.

But it wasn’t until Oct. 27, 2016 that Comey was briefed on the newly discovered emails — meaning McCabe kept the director in the dark for a month.

Several Republicans also have pointed with alarm to the Strzok-Page texts and their references to McCabe in relation to an “insurance policy” to prevent Trump from being elected president, and a “secret society” within the bureau.

The chilling video about the "silent coup" being done by Hillary Clinton and her cohorts seems to be ringing true.

perhaps Sessions will spend his own retirement playing checkers with Manafort in the dayroom.

It's been a long time coming.

I wonder if Muldoon and the Gang That Won't Shoot Straight are starting to look over their collective shoulder. As long as they are employees of the USA, they are fair game. If anyone resigns, they are probably trying to avoid any implication.

It seems strange that the IG can find this stuff and the Gang That Won't Shoot Straight is clueless.

McCabe's wrong doing was so prolonged and so biased that it really could not go unnoticed or unpunished. Now, on to Strzok and and his lover, Page and all the rest. Watch for them to resign. That will put them outside the reach of the IG.

This is only the tip of the ice berg. If Muldoon was running an honest investigation instead of a witch hunt, Hillary would have been in the cross hairs months ago.

Appears to be a rush to judgment. Or as the Judge asks, how does the Guilty bastard plead

Bromwich, himself a former Justice Department inspector general, suggested that office treated McCabe unfairly, cleaving from a larger investigation its findings on McCabe and not giving McCabe an adequate chance to respond to the allegations he faced. In his statement, Bromwich said McCabe and his lawyers were given limited access to the inspector general’s draft report late last month, saw a final report and evidence a week ago and were “receiving relevant exculpatory evidence as recently as two days ago.”

“With so much at stake, this process has fallen far short of what Mr. McCabe deserved,” Brom*wich said. “This concerted effort to accelerate the process in order to beat the ticking clock of his scheduled retirement violates any sense of decency and basic principles of fairness.”

This is the second time trump has roled out the excuse of riding to Hillary's defense as the reason for his actions. Nobody believed it the first time either.

He had it coming did he? In your own words, explain why McCabe was fired.

We're going to be hearing that Trump got McCabe fired from left wingers a lot. But it's a lie. There's no evidence that Trump was involved in that process. Career FBI people made the recommendation to fire him according to the rules.

He lied to and withheld information from investigators looking into the Hillary email matter. Flynn was criminally charged for less.

So you think trump called McCabe's wife a loser among other temper tantrums and then fired McCabe because he was investigating Hillary? A woman that any other day of the week trump will say needs to be investigated more and thrown in jail.

The gullibility of trumpettes is astounding.

Starting with his involvement in the "insurance" program against a Trump election revealed by the texts between the co-conspirators Peter Strzok and his paramour, Lisa page, the guy was in a bad place.

This has since been followed by the revelations from the IG on the various involvements in the various conspiracies within the FBI to undermine both the election of Trump and the credibility of the Trump election.

His involvement in the Steele Dossier is incriminating. His plan to retire and thereby place himself beyond the reach of the IG is an interesting device that he employed, but his time ran out before his retirement took effect.

Those are the things that I find objectionable as abuses of power and represent the outrageous, overarching political bias from our spies and law enforcement.

The indictable offenses which are the justifications for the termination are perjury and lying to the FBI.

Rriiiigght.

Oh... CONSPIRACY THEORIES... everyone drink.

Like what? Your claims are so beyond obtuse. There are basically no accusations in your accusations.

All's you did here is say trigger words and put mccabes name near them. Dossier... Mccabe. Strzok, mccabe. Then fill in the gaps with conspiracy theories. In other words, you are going to make **** up to protect dear leader.

You can't be serious, although not an unexpected response from a Trump acolyte. On a near-daily basis for the past couple months, Trump has pushed for the firing of McCabe.

It is possible, IANAL, that Trump and Sessions may have committed a crime in firing McCabe: Per 18 U.S. Code § 1513
- Retaliating against a witness, victim, or an informant:
(e) Whoever knowingly, with the intent to retaliate, takes any action harmful to any person, including interference with the lawful employment or livelihood of any person, for providing to a law enforcement officer any truthful information relating to the commission or possible commission of any Federal offense, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both.

Then there are:
18 U.S. Code § 371 - Conspiracy to commit offense or to defraud United States
18 U.S. Code § 372 - Conspiracy to impede or injure officer

Rriiiigght.

YOU specified the rules of the response by limiting my response to my own words.

If you wanted something involving links or documentation, why did you specifically ask for something else?

I didn't anticipate your words to create such huge gulfs that required conspiracy theories to fill the void. Actually I did.

He had it coming did he? In your own words, explain why McCabe was fired.

The FBI’s own Office of Professional Responsibility claimed he lied to investigators and used that false claim to recommend he be fired.

Any other blatantly obvious questions you need answered? Or do you think we're all as uninformed as the liberal morons walking the streets?

And no, I don't expect this to change your mind that Trump is behind this. Why stop being crazy now, right?

YOU"RE FIRED!!!!

But, I won't do it in person....or even close to you onna counta you might gat mad and call me names...that would huwt ma feewings.

They never made me do it for reals on TV.

It seems that FBI employees_____________, but somehow it seems to be Trump's fault.
Interestingly, no one seems to mention that some of those employees might be falling on Clinton's sword.
In fairness, I would lean toward having McCabe's pension held (if somehow possible) until they have all facts together, instead of cutting him off completely. I think we are only at the tip of the iceberg.

A lot of people get fired for a whole lot less.
