Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump told people Monday that he has settled on Larry Kudlow to replace Gary Cohn as the new director of the White House's National Economic Council, according to a source familiar with his conversations.

What a tremendous pickup for the Trump administration. Larry Kudlow is an intellectual mind and will become an asset to The Donald. The right guy at the right time. What a home run selection!

Well, looks like his is for NAFTA and TPP, can this president make up his mind on what his position is?

"Bush Boom Continues.

There is no recession. Despite all the doom and gloom from the economic pessimistas, the resilient U.S economy continues moving ahead’”quarter after quarter, year after year’”defying dire forecasts and delivering positive growth. In fact, we are about to enter the seventh consecutive year of the Bush boom.

The pessimistas are a persistent bunch. In 2006, they were certain a recession was just around the corner. They were wrong. Instead, the economy posted two consecutive quarters of near or above four-percent growth.

Earlier today, a doom and gloom economic forecast from Macro Economic Advisors was released predicting zero percent growth in the fourth quarter. This report is off by at least two percentage points. These guys are going to wind up with egg on their faces."

lol...wow.

is larry kudlow some guy on cnbc?

Kudlow is from the Ronny RayGun school of 'supply side' aka 'trickle down' aka 'you poor bastards get crumbs if you're lucky' school of economics. During the first stages of the GW Bush 'Great Recession' Kudlow stated there was no recession & that the economy was doing great.

He is a recovering cocaine addict & recovering alcoholic, Catholic, married three times, voiced support for Trump during the 2016 Trump campaign along with support for Trump's proposed 'border wall' and Muslim ban.

Kudlow is a real nice guy ....................... I mean asshole ...............

Kudlow will make a loyal 'yes man' for der Fuhrer Drumpf .........

Yes, he had a TV show with Jim Cramer and a radio show.

You know why guys like that end up on TV? They're bad economists with flawed theories, but they push the desired conservative agenda. So yeah, great pick, we have a wholly unqualified, currupt and non transparent regime, happy? Of course you are! All that matters is a white authoritarian is telling you how great 'murica is. Seems to be good enough huh?

On June 26, 2002, in a commentary in NRO titled "Taking Back the Market — By Force",[20] Kudlow called for the United States to attack Iraq because "a lack of decisive follow-through in the global war on terrorism is the single biggest problem facing the stock market and the nation today."

LOL... if he is worth half a bucket of warm spit the minute he tells The Donald his REAL opinion that 'tremendous pickup' will read about his dismissal in the papers or more likely on the Tweeter...

EVERY fired administration official was picked by Trump and at first the best of the best only latter to be out on his/her butt. (Says a lot about his crappy ability to pick capable, on board with his insanity, officials)

We live in interesting times... :peace

He had a chance to become a u.s senator many times but he declined.

The guy is widely popular and accredited.

Another media person in Trump's WH?

His whole Admin is truly nothing but 1 big reality show. And not even a good show.

A Reagan supply-sider (the trickle-down sham) who encourages high executive compensation, champions corporations and big money, supports the Wall and Muslim discrimination, and encourages Republicans to support The Donald at all costs.

So then, let's see. Yesterday Trump appointed someone deeply involved with rendition/torture as CIA Director. Today it's a former cocaine addict ($10,000 a month) as the presidents Chief Economic Advisor.

Against all odds, Trump administration appointments go from terrible to ****ing terrible.

Birds of a feather flock together.

He seems perfect.

"The recession debate is over. It’s not gonna happen. [...] The Bush boom is alive and well. It’s finishing up its sixth splendid year with many more years to come." -Larry Kudlow in December of 2007, just before everything collapsed.

Here's the NYTs Paul Krugman predicting global economic collapse the day after Trumps win

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive...-night-2016/paul-krugman-the-economic-fallout

As for Kudlow, if he's a proponent of pro-growth, supply side initiatives, then he's a good pick

This President watches far too much t.v.

Yeah cuz nothing spells sucess like doubling down on failure!

Doubling down on what failure ? On supply side initiatives ?

You know, I get the impression that you're way in over your head and that your basically just parroting Left wing talking points without really understanding what your saying

Tell me why you think supply side, pro growth economic initiatives are a failure, and offer up alternatives for growing and sustaining a market driven economy, because blind rage against Donald Trump is not a economic argument

I saw Kudlow on TV ranting about some non sense...He was loud and obnoxious...I wanted to kick him the face.....Just sayin'
