Australian Diplomat Whose Tip Prompted FBI’s Russia-probe Has Ties to Clintons

You're reading the Riot Act when there isn't any riot. The place is calm, peaceful and tranquil. So as you stand there barking out people are looking at you as youse carry on with the incessant Clinton droning. Nobody's there. In fact everyone went home peacably long ago. Let's hope no one has to say ugh here he comes again to holler his recitation at the trees.

Youse got nuthin over there. Out of gas youse are.

That might be a winning argument in your bubble...but out here is the real world it requires quite a bit more than an obviouly under informed internet guy just saying so, yano?

I know its a bit complex for y'all...so lets just take the first one in the list so we dont bite off, hopefully, more than your side is able to chew, eh? With all the proof, Comey testimony under oath, his press conference bogus "not prosectuable" statement while acknowledging she broke laws, congressional investigations where she, under oath, contradicted her own statements of "fact" ( known as perjury and against the law as well, yano? )...

Dood, she had illegal severs, emailed classified materials over these unsecured communications sytems, was most certainly hacked and then went on to fail to comply turning over 33 thousand emaisl which (one of the times she lied under oath) she stated there was not ANY classified and above information. Double whammy there , being that you are not allowed to do that under any circumstances and sure arent allowed to lie about that fact under oath.

THAT IS ALL ALREADY IN THE HISTORY BOOKS. We just now to assure the republic there is not a two tier justice system.

Probably could have, probably would have gotten away with it if she'd kept her big trap shut and accepted her defeat like a big girl. Nope had to go after Trump and his family...that led to this death struggle.

Trump has her dead to rights. She is going down.

Australian diplomat whose tip prompted FBI?s Russia-probe has tie to Clintons | TheHill

" The Australian diplomat whose tip in 2016 prompted the Russia-Trump investigation previously arranged one of the largest foreign donations to Bill and Hillary Clinton’s charitable efforts, documents show.

Former Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer’s role in securing $25 million in aid from his country to help the Clinton Foundation fight AIDS is chronicled in decade-old government memos archived on the Australian foreign ministry’s website.

Downer and former President Clinton jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding in February 2006 that spread out the grant money over four years for a project to provide screening and drug treatment to AIDS patients in Asia. "

Lol !! Cant say I'm shocked or surprised and who wants to bet money that Papadopoulos was set up ?

You mean the Australian diplomat put a gun to the head of Papadopoulis, and forced him to spill the beans? Or did Papadopoulis get drunk on his ass and run his mouth? That's right, he got drunk on his ass and ran his mouth.

But feel free to carry the water alcohol for Papadopoulis if you want to. If I remember correctly, Republicans used to be for personal responsibility. What happened?

Actually, Papadopoulis has already pleaded guilty to conspiracy.

Naaaaah, no conspiracy plea, just thenprocess crime of lying to federal officials about his contacts with Russian nationals.

Oops, you are right. It was Gates who pleaded guilty to conspiracy. Sometimes, its hard to tell all those Russians apart.

True dat.

Yup, partisan eyeballs will do that to ya.

My broker today gave me a great investment lead -- designer ankle bracelets for Trump staff. White House staff and campaign staff both. Manafort has a matching set already that he's wearing. Stocks are going like hotcakes on the 4th of July. My broker's from Australia btw. He has an office in London where he says the next hot items will be Trump Vodka and Papadopolous Wine. And beans. Spill proof.

First cite for all of us the statute against collusion, eh?

Cant find it? Thats cause it simply doesnt exist.

Except for process traps and potential unrelated breaches of law committed prior to Trump even considering announcing his canidacy, show us your no doubt long list of the indicted team Trump folk for, you know, "crimes of collusion" with the Russians.

Pretty please with a cherry on top?

And...

STOP THE MINDLESS CONFLATION of Russian election meddling generally ( been happening since after the Russian Revolution, 1917, so about a hundred years now ongoing ) and the idea of Trump collusion ( no evidence whatsoever, none ).

Your guy Manafort managed the nominating convention in Cleveland for Trump and Putin. Manafort guaranteed the deal would be clinched with the Republican party nominating delegates handing it to Trump. Manafort came and went, leaving us with Trump as the Republican nominee....

It's another Trump bad hair day.

Maybe you can sell a few of those lamer flamers to one of the passle of late night former comedians who use to tell jokes and now think they are just as good at the news as the network news anchors. Actually sometimes they do better, not a high bar, so low its un limbo-able, but the news folks are funny as hell nowadays, no joke ( but funny, funny wrlng)

Quick... a MSN important news quiz, how many scoops of ice cream does the Donald get? :lamo:lamo:lamo

Proof?

Poof, another empty accusation blowing in the wind. Wonder who paid for the one protester, surely Soros can afford more?

Papadopolous wuz full of proof when he spilled the beans in London. It wuz Alexander Downer who got wind of it. Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull authorized the Aussie Ambassador to Washington Joe Hockey to advise FBI.

So I just told my broker to go with this one....

HPIM1809.jpg

Men's Hematite Magnetic Ankle Bracelet Black and Pearl

Methinks it matches Manafort's hair job colors. I wuz thinking a wine color for Papadopolous given he might be next to get his own ankle band. Thinking ahead now of one for Trump as he rattles around inside the WH.

How much is it gonna cost to at least double the size to get one around Hillary's cankles, ya think?

Perhaps they can get with the folks that measured her, Hillary and John McC to get estimates??

If these type of interrelations were proof of criminal guilt, Trump would have been in jail decades ago!

I think more then enough people on here, are upset that the system works the way it does and not the way they want it to.

Phew. Had he been a Trump supporter we probably never would have known.

We recall the retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn was hollering a lot at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. Flynn who's now busted led a chant about locking and up. Flynn more recently metamorphosized from barking dog to songbird singing. And chirping.

Another retired guy rang up Flynn after Flynn's convention barking. The caller was Admiral retired Mike Mullen who's former chief of naval operations and then was chairman of the joint chiefs of staff. Mullen advised Flynn his convention snarling was conduct unbecoming. So while Papadapolous has the excuse of being both high and mighty and skunko Flynn is just plain nutso.

These are all common features if unfortunate ones of Trump and his crowd over there.

You can laugh now, but we will see what turns out in the end.

Turns out Comey testified that his FBI agents didnt feel Flynn had lied, but committed unintentional errors of memory...but the mules team somehow reworked that, is rumored to have threatened Flynn's son with prosecution, financially drained Flynn and family in litigation basically forcing him to capitulate in, what perhaps he felt the only way out... a guilty plea to end it all....

Then, wonder of wonders, the mule delays Flynn's sentencing...why, ya think?

Mueller team seeks delay in Flynn sentencing | Fox News

I think we are on OUR way to having the last laugh. :lamo

Two les faux in one post is more than comical. It's revealing of who among others are the Russophiles....

Mueller's charging documents state bluntly that Flynn interfered with the FBI's inquiry into Trump-Russia collusion. "Flynn's false statements and omissions impeded and otherwise had a significant material effect on the FBI's ongoing investigation into the existence of any links or coordination between individuals associated with the campaign and Russia's efforts to interfere with the 2016 presidential election," the document declares.

One hopes of course Rolling Stone is not too upsetting to those over there. Comey was discharged due to his oath to the Constitution which Trump rejected. Trump wants loyalty to Trump and to Trump only. Trump himself took the oath of office then wiped his ass with it. And it's the Trump Fanboyz who continue handing him copies of it to use daily.

Funny that the Soviet backers are suddenly Russian haters? I think we all know that its the left that enjoys immersion in the collective, being told exactly what to do and think.

Cant sidestep that historical imperative, patriot Trump getting elected or not. Sorry Charley, we only want tuna that tastes good...yours smells bad as well.

Youse over there psyched yourselves out long ago with your own wild creations. Russia is and always has been one of those outhouse countries we've heard some references to recently. Trump and his Russophiles don't think of Russia in that way but many American Americans do know it well from its long history and and through the cold war to the present. Trump kisses the arse of our enemies and kicks the arse of our friends to include Australia very prominently.

There's the case of the Oz Prime Minister, the late Gough Whitlam who during the Vietnam war reversed Australia's pro-USA policy and became BFF with Ho Chi Minh. I often like the way the Guardian cuts to the chase as it does below in the link. That is, the Queen's Governor General of Australia, Sir John Kerr which office in Canberra represents the sovereign in the British Commonwealth of Australia addressed the matter....

Gough Whitlam

Opinion

The British-American coup that ended Australian independence

Whitlam demanded to know if and why the CIA was running a spy base at Pine Gap near Alice Springs, a giant vacuum cleaner which, as Edward Snowden revealed recently, allows the US to spy on everyone. “Try to screw us or bounce us,” the prime minister warned the US ambassador, “[and Pine Gap] will become a matter of contention”.

Victor Marchetti, the CIA officer who had helped set up Pine Gap, later told me, “This threat to close Pine Gap caused apoplexy in the White House … a kind of Chile [coup] was set in motion.” On 10 November 1975, Whitlam was shown a top-secret telex message sourced to Theodore Shackley, the notorious head of the CIA’s East Asia division, who had helped run the coup against Salvador Allende in Chile two years earlier.

Shackley’s message was read to Whitlam. It said that the prime minister of Australia was a security risk in his own country. The day before, Kerr had visited the headquarters of the Defence Signals Directorate, Australia’s NSA, where he was briefed on the “security crisis”.

On 11 November – the day Whitlam was to inform parliament about the secret CIA presence in Australia – he was summoned by Kerr. Invoking archaic vice-regal “reserve powers”, Kerr sacked the democratically elected prime minister. The “Whitlam problem” was solved.

The movie The Falcon and The Snowman wuz a good account thx. My beef with the Guardian in respect of Whitlam in Oz is that they got it backwards, as I remember it well. The accurate reading of the Australian budget crisis that precipitated Whitlam's removal is that the bouncing of the widlman prime minister severed the government in Canberra from Ho Chi Minh. Indeed, both Australian commonwealth and independence were restored. The conservatives won the snap election and all was well again Down Under and Up North too. Youse over there on the far right meanwhile continue to psyche yourselves out when youse see commies that do not exist.

Have no idea where you are going with all that, but my ticket only allows me, thankfully, to go this far.

No problem as the thread and topic are Australia and USA national security both over the long haul of a hundred years and Russia specifically over the same period of time. Any one who's no one hasn't any clue of it anyway and it wuz a long time ago. Still however there are lessons to be learned ne c'est pas.

It's actually true Oz Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Trump don't like their daily intelligence briefing. Turnbull who was elected in fall 2015 became quite the focus of Oz and USA intelligence services for his short shrifting of 'em during his first months in office. CCP Dictators in Beijing were meanwhile buying into Oz electricity grids, making deals for mining and dairy properties to include some media. Concerned sources leaked stories into Oz media that Turnbull didn't much care about national security. U.S. has $25 billion of corporate properties invested in Oz since forever and has a very long standing mutual defense treaty with Oz. CCP Dictator-Tyrants in Beijing have been hollering at Oz to stay out of the South China Sea disputes, which Oz has not become much involved in directly, preferring to jawbone support of USA and the countries of the region targeted by the Beijing Tyrants.

da71f2affff7cda842f1b3857c76ae86

Then SecDef Ashton Carter reads the riot act to Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull at Pentagon January 19, 2016.

Turnbull suddenly pulled licenses from Chinese firms in Australia, froze Chinese projects and gave warm greetings each day to his intelligence briefers while also showing a newfound respect and working relationship with 'em. It just goes to show that no matter what country you think you're in charge of you can't beat city hall. So to speak of course.
