my Q2 prediction still holding up better than ever :)

What. You predicted Manafort would be in trouble in Q2? You are a couple Q'2 too late there Nostradamus.

Yes. Gates has agreed to cooperate in the investigation of Manafort. This is bad news for Manafort and no one else.

Yes, I think gates is going to drop a dime that Manafort has several library books from 2012 and even older!

"It's unknown whether Gates has more to offer beyond testimony against Manafort. He served as a senior advisor to the Trump campaign after Manafort stepped down as campaign manager in August 2016, helped organize Trump's inauguration in January 2017, and had access to the White House as an outside advisor in the early weeks of the administration."

Richard Gates, former top campaign aide to Trump, pleads guilty in Russia investigation

I don't know what Gates knows (and we'll all know in due time), but he's more than a guy who's there to testify against Manafort. He knows a lot.

That's the dumbest prediction ever. Want to place a bet on that?

Yes, that's a pretty dumb one. I am weighing that against all the leftists here going on how Trump didn't want to win, and would be resigning just because he really didn't want to be President. Those were pretty dumb, especially since Trump announced he will be running for reelection.

Between screaming at the sky, the left was projecting all kinds of crazy predictions about Trump leaving office. It's very hard to call one the "dumbest", they are always topping themselves.

I don't see Mueller dropping that many charges just to ensure they convict Manafort, but it is at least possible.

Yeah, he might even know Trump's Apple ID password. If he gives that up, impeachment is just around the corner. But seriously, this really means nothing at all. They probably realized they overcharged the living crap out of him.

I think Trump might like things more now that he's settled in a bit.

Plus his staff has shaken down a bit as well, and isn't as uncoordinated and such.

Which is to say, they're managing Trump better.

You want a POTUS who needs to be managed??? Mental patients are managed.

All Presidents settle in after a while. Obama was like a deer in the headlights when he first got in. I remember him being told what to say by some lawyer off camera on his first day. But, he hung in there and was able to do what he did. His handlers and the teleprompter got him through the early period.

Imagine what you like (I know that you'll say whatever you need to just to get through each day). The common wisdom is that Manafort is some kind of firewall between Gates and the rest of the campaign/administration. That is untrue.

Keep hope alive, Fletch. If they want Manafort, they already have him. And they had Gates on the same stuff. Why give Gates a deal, to get Manafort, on the same stuff they just dealt away on Gates?

LOL, you guys are funny. Just curious if you've actually read the indictments, plural, on Manafort?

They don't need Gates to crucify Manafort. He is already toast. If they needed Gates to get to Manafort, then Manafort would not yet have been indicted AND they would not be giving Gates so much.

They have proffered Gates. They already know what he can tell them (which will likely be simply to help string together existing evidence into a coherent story).

Its bad news for the West Wing. Gates association with Trump went past the Manafort tenure as Campaign Chair through inauguration. The only question now is who in the White House will be indicted.

Doesn't make any sense. The indictments paint a money trail that's not even very hard to follow, and the tax charges are slam dunks from what I can tell, and they're spread over 7 years, and each year he filed a fraudulent return is another possible stacked sentence of up to 5 years. Then there are state charges....

We had a client whose son got in the crosshairs of the Feds for threatening some federal judges, and everyone including mom was was glad to see it but it was still impressive and a little frightening how the feds dug their claws into that guy and brought him down. When he got out after serving 10 years on the first charges, they did it again, and again, and again - 19 years total. I guess the point is it wouldn't take a whole lot for the feds to get him on enough that 15 years looks like a slam dunk.

I'm having a little trouble telling if you're joking or not. Mueller just dropped a boatload of new charges on Gates and Manafort a week ago. Are you saying Mueller and the team of hot shots went - ooops! - a week later? Surely you're joking... Good one!

Carson Resign is trending on twitter and it doesn't even have anything to do with Mueller.

Yeah, what an idiot. $31,000 for a dining room set...for the office. And of course Ben Carson and his wife are doing the Sgt. Schultz routine...they knew NOTHING! It's disappointing.
