Stick around if you want to get schooled.
Definitely a learning experience.

What facts? I haven't seen any. I haven't even seen an argument. (Telling me to find a safe space or calling me ignorant or stating that I'm not a victim aren't rebuttals to my stated point, which is there's an obvious movement to vilify the NRA and its members for political reasons.) Why have I "lost" my argument by using the words "Jew" in conjunction with the word "hat"? Can you at least answer that?
In prewar Nazi Germany, business owners who posted "No Jews Allowed" or "We don't serve Jews" weren't hunting down, gassing, or otherwise making them the victims of war crimes either, were they? Even the Nazis didn't do that initially. My point is there's a blatant, full-frontal attempt by the Left to vilify the organization and its members as "extremists" or "out of the mainstream" because they're viewed as political obstacles. Increasingly, these voices are being heard by sympathetic ears in executive suites. It's a twist on traditional business thought to have companies punish their customers for their political associations or memberships, but then it's a natural outgrowth of leftist thinking: "Don't bother reasoning with someone you don't agree with. Any reasoning that results in a bad result isn't reasoning, anyway. Just call them a bigot, tell them they're making you uncomfortable, ask them why they're so angry, or shun them after you tell them to **** off."
NRA members need to get new hats that read "JEW."
Oh look, more "we're the real victims" whining. How creative
Of course I laid out facts. You aren’t being hunted down and jailed, you’re not being killed, you’re not being gassed, so any comparison to boycotting the NRA as being Nazis is ridiculous. So yeah you’ve lost.
It's alright, I'm a member of the NRA, there are other businesses lined up to fill the gaps. The NRA is never going to die.
Ah. So don't ever even imply that the far Right is extremist...but lay down and take it up the wazoo if the far Right wants to exercise what they feel is their "right" to vilify nonwhites and anyone with a Hispanic or Asian accent. Got it.
and you will claim your anti gun nonsense is based on crime victims when in reality you just don't like the politics of the NRA. NRA members tend to be more affluent than average and travel more. Hertz is only cutting its own throat
I’ll be the first to admit I don’t like an organization which calls law enforcement “jackbooted thugs” and who are more obsessed with promoting sales than they are with stating facts. That said, the reality of the situation is that there is no sane reason why anyone should be bitching and moaning about the government trying to keep weaponry out of the hands of thugs.
They also seem to have a tendency to support cop killers and would be cop killers.
you're just lying about the NRA. its specious slander about supporting cop killers.
If you want to imply that the Far Right is extremist, knock yourself out, but do it by making an argument that supports that thesis. But is someone an "extremist" because they're an NRA member? Does the NRA vilify nonwhites or Hispanics or Asians? No, they're not, and no, it doesn't.
You missed the point, so your "facts" aren't relevant as a rebuttal. (To clarify my argument, I pointed at out that Jews in prewar Germany weren't gassed either when they were being denied access to various businesses because of who they were. At that moment in history, the Nazis were interested less in extermination than marginalizing and shunning Jews in order to achieve a political aim. That's the comparison, which you missed again even though I spelled it out for you. So now I'm starting to think you're being obtuse on purpose.)
I wasn't speaking of the NRA...but since you mention them, the organization as a whole might not be racist, but its leader Wayne LaPierre sure seems to be racist. I know, I know, you don't want to believe anything Media Matters says...so don't! Just go to each and every one of the references they use to list Pierre's quotes.
"I use the word nigger a lot because I hang around with a lot of niggers, and they use the word nigger, and I tend to use words that communicate ... I don't mean to offend."

The “Militia movement” are big supporters of the NRA, and it seems in many cases vice versa; they have repeatedly murdered or attempted to murder law enforcement.
So no, not “slanderous” at all.

The NRA will survive. This latest round of gun control publicity will drive up membership yet again. Fund raising gets a lot easier for this years elections.

Hertz may as well change it's name to "Hurts".
This is a good point. The focus is the 2nd Amendment. Those that are anti-NRA are also more likely to be against self-reliance, and tend to support democratic candidates (anti-affluence).
In the crossfire is the ancient right to bear arms, being used as a proxy for more basic political arguments by the left. This tactic overreaches, and can be countered when the argument goes back to the rights of the citizen to own a gun. The NRA supports the right of black citizens in Baltimore to own guns. Those that are against the NRA want to take those guns out of the hands of the black citizens of Baltimore, and put those guns in the hands of the very trustworthy Baltimore Police Department, and the even more trustworthy Ferguson PD.
The right needs to realize that the NRA argument is merely a proxy for more deeply held leftist beliefs, among the most sacred of these is black victimization.
They are not punishing the NRA by taking away discounts, they are punishing NRA members, but only the ones that are their own customers! How stupid is that?
Former customers. What a great business decision.
