The average home price in Parkland Florida is $590,000. Nearby Boca Ratan is $340,000.

I hate to see this getting upped now to hiring mercenary soldiers in order for kids to have a nice day at school.

Or, rethink the whole thing.

Maybe we could end public schooling. Everyone keeps their child home and therefore safe, with a gun, without a gun as the parent chooses. Home Schooling for All. Make America Dumb Again. Does that sound too crazy? It's about as crazy as telling teachers they are now to play Rambo.

There is no quick fix here, it's going to take some serious leadership, conversation, negotiation and commitment to a solution. If America has any greatness at all, that will happen.

If it doesn't then we will know our civilization is past its peak and the lunatics have won.

I don't blame the LE's one bit for not going in there. Considering how they are blamed for everything these days I wouldn't risk going in where I might have to fire on someone, and God forbid, I hit the wrong person. There goes my paycheck, my career, my pension, and my life savings. And maybe jail time to boot. Isn't worth the risk to draw a weapon these days. Go home safe. Paycheck safe, career safe, pension safe, life savings safe, and officer safe.
