Rick Gates, Trump Campaign Aide, to Plead Guilty in Mueller Inquiry and Cooperate

Re: Gates to plead guilty...

Those indictments are based on actions committed by the defendants well before Trump was even on the scene. Is Mueller attempting to get them to lie about Trump in order to get lesser sentences?

Nope, I just heard this morning(on abc) In the last indictments included timelines when they were working for trump.

Dial? I just click the dohickey repeatedly until I get Miss Bertha down in the back of the General Store and she connects me with anybody I need.

I rarely use these stupid things, however....

Re: Gates to plead guilty...

The world didn't start on Jan 20, 2017. The conspiracy, that many believe existed predated Trump's candidacy. The crimes are likely years of financial entanglement with Russian oligarchs who now want something from the guy who ended up president, who they've had financial hooks embedded for years. Not seeing the connection is intentionally looking the other way.

Well since they've haven't found a connection, by your logic, this investigation should never end or have any parameters.

Or, it's unrelated bs.
Irrelevant. If Mueller discovered that Manafort committed crimes years ago and that gets him to loosen his lips about Russian collusion, it doesn't matter.

Re: Gates to plead guilty...

What is that...4 down now?

Trump's will be the most corrupt administration since Grant.

I think Nixon had the biggest ring of arrested folk.

Re: Gates to plead guilty...

Gates realized, and manifort most likely will as we.
Choice number one: Die In prison.

Choice number two flip.

You mean they happened so early that Obama warned trump and then trump ignored the warning and said he was hiring only the best people?

Sure Obama did. Then he went out and formed an organization to trash Trump's presidency.

You don't know what Mueller has unless you have been rifling through Muellers secret files. We, the public, only learn what must be made public. Indictments are public matters.

Object permanence tells us that something still exists even if isn't in front of our eyes. What Mueller may have uncovered about collusion with Russia is not yet public information. Assuming that since you don't know what Mueller has, it therefore doesn't exist, is illogical.

ON NOOOOEEESSS.... It's the DDDDDDEEEEEEEP STAAAAATE conspiracy bs again. :cuckoo:

I smell hypocrisy. Had Obama stated during the campaign that Trump was colluding with the Russians, you'd be one of the first to howl at the moon that Obama was trying to tip the election. Now, you blame Obama for not making said statement.

Indeed, McConnell blackmailed Obama, refusing to sign on to a bipartisan statement that Russia was interfering in the election. Obama was in an unwinnable position.

Re: Gates to plead guilty...

Doubt it. I don't think Manafort will ever turn. His options are;
1) fight this in court
2) Accidentally eat a bowl of Putin's favorite polonium soup with some high speed lead for dessert.
I know, I remarked this before here and to my wife. He may be more scared of Russia than U.S. min security prison as a wealthy inmate. Hell, Steele got his family into hiding when his name broke.

But I still hope he assumes that's a stretch and will give us the scoop for a more of his (potential) life, what's left of it.
*edit: and with Gates already flipped, it may seem even less risky.

That Trump and his campaign has ties to the nation that is overt about political assassinations, and Republicans back them, is just mind blowing.

Had Obama stated it without PROOF, yes there would have been a lot of howling.

Re: Gates to plead guilty...

So how many crimes can these people by guilty of before Trump supporters admit that there were legitimate reasons to wiretap folks in his campaign? This is at least 35 million dollars in fraud and dozens of felonies.

Re: Gates to plead guilty...

If you read the beginning of this thread you should be aware I am link challenged.

I'm sure ABC insinuated the worst scenario and exaggerated the truth.

I looked and could find anything from them.

I think he'll ride this out at the very least hoping for pardons. Maybe turn after all is said and done and he's sitting in jail. When all options of freedom are exhausted he may spill some. Of course his barter chips will be less valuable but he'll risk less then.

Why do you think he eats McDonald's?
He is betting he won't be the one to get the plutonium big mac.
