Finally! We have proof that Trump is a communist who undermined the Clinton campaign and began his first steps to take over the world!

It looks like more people are willing to abandon Trump. Rick Gates looks like he is going to cooperate in exchange to a plea deal

It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few months. I expect to see a lot of people trying to discredit Rick Gates, and also go through the distraction of what Gates has been accused of.

I don't know why people think they should be loyal to Trump. He's not loyal to anyone, and now his threats are meaningless and hallow. He whines like a baby and caves like a sissy. Not a great negotiator either.

The Trump devotees will all poo poo this. Most will denigrate Gates. All are soiling their underpants right now.

If Trump was a Communist, The media would be rolling a red carpet everywhere he tread.

It shouldn't be surprising to us. According to that book, Trump surrounds himself with backstabbers and cowards who enjoy talking negatively about him behind his back (and away from the ears of his checkbook).

I don't know about that. Like most things, the media would criticize him for it.

But his fan club would certainly walk the red carpet with him. Aren't they the ones that need to be told whether or not they like Putin from one month to the next?

I think that out of all the leaders in the world, trump has gotten 'The Look' more than any other I have seen, were people are listening to him, and glaring at him as if he is a totally and utter moron.

Gates was accused of financial crimes unrelated to the campaign. That's not a reason for me to soil my pants. Furthermore, if Trump did commit a crime that warranted his removal from office I'd gladly support that removal. My focus, as always, is on **** that actually happened, not speculation, innuendo and an absurd fear that a guy who isn't a career politician is going to **** up the government. Frankly, based on what I've seen of government over the past couple of decades, it could use a little shake up.

We appreciate your meaningful contribution to the debate at hand. In the insightfulness and depth of thinking that went into your post, you have represented your POTUS and his supporters quite well. Thanks.

Meanwhile.....

What this will do is leave Manafort exposed. He is either free to continue the fight for his defense with his chief associate working against him OR, he will have cave to the vastly increased pressure to offer something meaningful in the prosecution of Trump.

It is pretty clear that the Mueller investigation has moved from an investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 general election to a full investigation of Trump. Though Trump may like to say he is not under investigation, he most certainly is.

The apologist Trukpkins even try to deny reality when it is Trump himself speaking his own words. A good example is when in July of 2016 he publicly invited the Russians into the campaign to help him and promised them a reward for their efforts. Another is his public admission to Lester Holt that he was trying to thwart the investigation into the Russian interference by firing Comey.

To this day a group of Trumpkin apologists try to pretend either happened or have some convoluted rationalization as to why neither was wrong. Its so intellectually fraudulent that it attempts to create an alternate reality other than the one the rest of humanity lives in.

A management saying, as I recall it:

"A" managers hire "A" employees. "B" managers hire "C" employees.

And by extension of that, "C" managers will hire "F" employees.

This is the top-down nature of a kakocracy.

It doesn't take much. He's the President of the United States. Even Carter, one of our blandest leaders in history, was a character of focus.

Besides, if you run your mouth and do extraordinary things then people take notice. Bad leaders get that sort of focus too. And Trump has proven to be more of a cult leader, who bases his decisions on how to glorify himself in the eyes of the few, than a national leader. Ugh...I'm tired of even thinking about it anymore.

In my experience it is true that bad leaders tend to have weak and undisciplined Marines. It's normally in the support side of things, especially where gender starts to get mixed, but bad leadership is bad leadership.

Trump's problem, specifically, seems to be about leading a silver-spooned life where he has been allowed to behave anyway he likes without repercussion. He actually thinks people like him, but this book proved something. People abide him because of his money. And from this sort of life he learned to have a very bad judge of character in people. I mean, good grief, even his bankruptcies don't hurt him as he shrugs them off. And now he has greatly reduced government revenue while increasing government spending. Great recipe for bankruptcy. He just doesn't care about anything beyond the moment and his own need for personal attention; and he winds up attracting the same sort of temporary thinking and shallow mindset. Crap...magnet. He even turns military Generals into shameless public liars.
