Syria conflict: 'Russians" killed' in US air strikes

1920 Treaty of Sevres (Article 62)

Like so many, in the colonial world, the Kurds took Wilson's speech on self-determination to heart. It's debated on whether or not Wilson was more focused on European powers. But, obviously, the European powers did not see this to mean their colonies. Neither did the Turks. Ataturk crapped all over the Treaty of Sevres and all looked away. Not honoring this treaty wound up being just as bad as honoring Sykes-Picot (Created Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and led to the creation of Saudi Arabia).

To date, the Kurds are the largest condensed like-population in the world without a country.

And they've been honorable and kick-ass allies for us, despite all the times we've screwed them over, especially when we supported Saddam, and then again after Desert Storm when we got them to help out and then we pulled out without finishing the job, not doing anything about Turkey attacking them, despite them being NATO allies (why are they still in NATO with their trash government?)...just so many examples.

Yes.

The reason that we constantly err on the side of stupidity anymore is that our Foreign Policy, from one administration to the next, largely relies upon the habits of the last policy, no matter change over time, no matter context, and no matter how our allies behave. I argue that today we are on the wrong side of history because of this tendency to create Policy out of habit.

Russia doesn't reveal this type of information so it's hard to guess the exact numbers but at the very least we're talking about 100 Russians killed by the US in that attack and 200 more injured.

Watch it, brother...you might be called a Russian troll if you talk about things that you have personal experience in and actually know how screwed up our foreign policy is.

""Russian" toll in Syria battle was 300 killed and wounded
A Russian military doctor said around 100 had been killed, and a source who knows several of the fighters said the death toll was in excess of 80 men.

The timing of the casualties coincided with a battle on Feb. 7 near the Syrian city of Deir al-Zor where, according to U.S. officials and associates of the fighters involved, U.S.-led coalition forces attacked forces aligned with Moscow’s ally, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Russian officials said five citizens may have been killed but they had no relation to Russia’s armed forces.

The clashes show Moscow is more deeply involved in Syria militarily than it has said, and risks being drawn into direct confrontation with the United States in Syria."

People get too caught up in their taught ideologies, which clouds their senses.

do you think that a Kleptocracy (Kremlin) is an ideology?

BS, Kurds fight Assadists , not all Christians are on his side. etc.

What was that about the Kurds fighting Assad? Seems to me they are working together to protect themselves from the depredations of Turkey.

Trump/Punia allowed Turkey to attack Kurds in Afrin, Kurds are looking for any support

What does Turkey's actions have to do with Trump? Are you unaware that Turkey was doing all kinds of things, like assisting ISIS during Obama's time as well? Like I said...religious and ethnic minorities support the Assad regime. Do they do it because they like it? Probably not. They do it because they don't want to be killed, which is what would happen if Assad was removed. Just like the genocide that happened in Libya after Qaddafi was removed. There is no post-Assad government in Syria that isn't composed of various terrorist and extremist factions all killing each other and everyone else.

Huh? It's not fake news that Turkey was attacking the Kurds during Obama's term, which is what you were implying. I don't know how that relates to the picture you have above showing someone who is labeled as Abu Bakr but, I have to say, his beard looks mighty short to me.
