If it serves to honor the military and boosts its morale, then I'm all for it.
It would not "honor" the military, nor would it boost morale.
1) It would cause training stoppages across the Branches in order to practice for weeks so as not to be too embarrassed on international television.
2) Because the military is spread out across an enormous country, this means that the Branches would have practiced separately and not together. The U.S. military is not confined to small spaces like in other small countries.
3) It would have to involve great numbers from each Branch so as not to look cheap. Then, of course, they would then have to be flown or trucked to a single location. Of course, **** any of their personal family commitments, which they miss enough when actually training in the field or deployed.
4) This would also probably involve per diem and other administrative/logistical issues such as weapons and equipment transport.
5) Because it would involve so many weapons and equipment on civilian territory, it would have to involve local law enforcement and other such logistics.
6) So as not to look ragtag on international television, all these Troop numbers, the weapons handling, and equipment operation would have to coordinate on location, which means the location would need to be somewhat isolated and provide temporary living quarters so that there would be enough time for some Branches to learn how to actually
march while handing their weapons. I doubt such an international show would just be about loafing down the street.
7) And I doubt there would be any Troop that falls for the idea that this is all for his honor; and Troops do not like marching about in the first place.
In then end, it would be an embarrassing mess and just one more thing to thank Trump for.
