GREELEY, Colo. -- The former chairman of the Colorado Republican Party was sentenced to four years of probation and 300 hours of community service for voter fraud.

The former Colorado Republican Party Chairman Steve Curtis forged his wife's signature -- in the only case of voter fraud recorded and prosecuted in Colorado after the 2016 election.

Curtis, who hosted a RW radio talk show said on his show in 2016 -- before the charges were filed:

“Virtually every case of voter fraud I can remember in my lifetime was committed by Democrats.”

But, there is no voter fraud.

There certainly aren't three million cases of illegal Mexicans voting. There are and possibly have been isolated cases of individuals voting illegally but the numbers effected by voter fraud are nothing compared to the systematic election fraud that Republicans endorse and have endorsed. The Democrats never had to operate for decades under an injunction for voter caging. Another major party has. Guess which one.

When people say there are "none", they mean not enough to ever count. In the case of this Republican, he did break the law and should have his own right to vote be subject to monitoring. The fabricated hysteria of the Trump administration, whose ego would not allow him to believe he lost the popular vote, insisted there must have been foul play. There was, but I don't think he included Russian interference.

Nobody has ever claimed there was "no" voter fraud. It's just so very little that it cannot affect national elections, let alone local/state elections (other than that literal tie in VA recently).

Seriously. Read the first page or so. The GOP was screaming the same dumb crap in the early 00's, the Bush DOJ spent four years investigating, and ultimately ended up with something like 80ish convictions. Roughly half of the "fraud" wasn't even in national elections.



I tire of having to repeat this, but the idea that widescale voter fraud will ever be widespread is absurd on its face. Why the hell would that many people risk terms in federal federal prison for each vote they cast fraudulently?
